Pathetic loser fanboys arguing against pathetic loser fanboys. Man this generation of boxing fans is just a bunch of b1tchy, whiny, d1ck riding f@ggots.
Anybody else notice how Floyd vs. Pac has turned into Ward vs. GGG?

Sure it's not as bad but it's definitely the successor to that whole decade of nuthuggery. It's like everyone got so used to arguing about nonsense for 10 years, that when the whole thing culminated in a boring a$$ fight and there was nothing else to argue about, they needed to find a new reason to have these pu$$y a$$ catfights and fill the void.
I'm even seeing the same old arguments. Your guy is ducking my guy, my guy is more popular than your guy, your guy is a cherrypicker. We got people b1tching about ppv numbers and acting like they know what's going on behind the scenes. It's like ***in deja vu.Comment

Its so much more boring though, in the Floyd Manny situation they were at the same weight fighting similar or the same competition. You could say that Manny was the elephant in the room until he beat Cotto and then the lust for the fight truly started to gain momentum.
This is different - not nearly as interesting, not yet anyway. GGG hasn't fought anyone, and has too much hype for what he has accomplished to date. I am not saying he isn't going to become what lots of people think, just that at this stage its premature. Until we see him against elite competition this Ward talk is far too premature and is mostly initiated by GGG fans.
They are a weight division apart and maybe 2 soon. Quite frankly - the window for the fight is open now and will probably close as soon as Ward moves up to 175, and if you think Golovkin's team will take this fight anytime in the near future then you are on crack...end of discussion.Comment

in a way it has but thats how it will always be when 2 good fighters that good in their primes are so close in weight and the fight is possible. I mean imo its the best possible fight boxing can make better then kovolav stevenson or any other fight imo its the fight that has to happen and i think it would be huge those 2 together are dynamite it would get mainstream attention and everything else the problem is team ggg and hbo are thinking about how much return they would get on their investment if ward schools but unfortunately i dont think it will. by the sounds of it ggg fans dont want the fight which surprises me but that will happen as long as boxing is around the same thing happened with james toney and roy jones when they fought it was 160 vs 168 and roy took on the challenge.Comment

Yeah, it's pretty transparent and agenda-driven. And as with Floyd-Pac, it's the same people in each thread going round and round. How do these people not got bored of arguing about the exact same topic with the exact same person in multiple threads day after day? And it's not even debating how their styles would mesh or anything like that, it's all about how much of a draw someone is, how many tune-ups they deserve or what catchweight there should be. Someone on here came up with the term 'fanager' before, and that's what it reminds me of.
If a thread starts with a discussion on Cotto vs Canelo, it quickly becomes about whether one or both are/will duck Golovkin. Then about whether Golovkin is ducking Ward, then onto if Ward is ducking Kovalev/taking too many easy warm-ups.Comment
