Even when Floyd and Pac wasn't fighting each other they were fighting the likes of Mosley, Marquez, Margarito, Bradley, Guerrero, Cotto, Canelo.

Ward doesn't fight at all and GGG beats up contenders that are way below his level.

I'd say the situation has similarities but is mostly nothing alike.

Everyone should take into account that GGG and Pac have a seek and destroy fighter's mentality. Ward and Mayweather are defense first type of fighters. Could be that many fans prefer a certain kind of fighting style.

I prefer fighters who get in the ring to make it a fight. Not a fighter who's trying to avoid getting into a fight.

With that said, I like Ward. He's an excellent fighter. I'm just a bit lost on where his head is at today. Seems as if he's only interested in fighting undermatched tune-up bouts yet word is that he has a 3-fight HBO deal with the last fight being against Killa Kov. How does fighting a guy like Murdock prepare you for a fight with Kovalev?

The mods should sticky a GGG/Ward thread and ban anyone who creates new threads. GGG and Ward fight 2 weightclasses apart and that fight is highly unlikely to happen.

GGG/Canelo/Cotto talk is fine as GGG is the mandatory to the winner.
