    Be careful.

Someone might explain to you in detail exactly why Corrales was "weight drained", and he struggled to make weight while Castillo was comfortable with a fractured ribcage.

He fought Corrales with a fractured ribcage and was outweighed by four pounds come fight time.

Oh and while we're on the subject of being "warrior like". Everyone knows JLC's losses prior to Mayweather and Corrales were from cuts. He and Jaregui put on a badass show, and the fight was stopped when Castillo (the child at the time) was bleeding all over the ring. So he shook his head and said whatever.

They rematch, and Castillo is hammering his ass when all of a sudden the EXACT same thing happens in the tenth round of their second fight. A cuts opens over his eye and the doctor stops it. So he shook his head and said whatever.

Tenth round curse? He fights Alvarez and slugs it out with him for ten rounds and then what do you know...the same. A cut opens up over his eye, and the fight is stopped.

I personally think he is the last person that would want the fight stopped, and more than likely would be content to fight faceless in the ring, having his skin torn from skull.

    Not a warrior my ass.

I'd like to point out that Castillo KO'd Bazan in 6 when he was 41-4-1, and Cotto KO'd him in 11, when he was 13-0-0, a year after.

The weight Corrales put on after the weighin was water weight not muscle. JLC didn't have to dehydrate himself like he always does to make 135 so yeah that had a HUGE difference. Ask any boxer or wrestler trying to lose 3-4 lbs. in one day or a few hours before a fight if it makes a difference. JLC came out of the gates in that fight alot faster than he usually does because he wasn't weakened from trying to make weight. Anyone that has seen JLC fight knows that he's a slow starter & gets stronger as the fight goes on. The "cheating" Corrales did was within the confines of the rules & Weeks did his job of deducting a point because of the infraction. JLC's "cheating" on the other hand seemed premeditated because of the doctor tampering with the scales & JLC coming back on the second attempt at weighing 135 a few pounds heavier which means that he was heavier than 138 lbs. after the initial weighin.

Good post man! I agree with you. Anyway all the people from press called Castillo a cheater. We all know he cheated, but really this topic is getting old now.

yet I havent heard anyone say that about any of the many many other fighters that come into the ring heavier than the contracted wt. Only Castillo.

Because this was a big PPV championship fight. This is the reason the press are getting on him.

maybe, but many of the other fights were for titles too. anyway, their first fight was the same, yet chico cheated, pulling his mouthpiece out more than once to buy time when the fight should have been stopped the last time he did it, indicating he had had enough. Lol, like you said, this is all such old news anyway..I just dont see how fans can insist one cheated and the other didnt. Him getting away with the mouthpiece trick, and the result of it was the biggest farce I've seen in boxing.

all I remember about Castillo is the fact that he cheated on the scales about his weighin in as a welterweight.

Fact is, people of different sides argue wether what Chico did was cheating OR a smart thing to do.

No one argues however that Castillo CHEATED to get himself an advantage towards a fighta that trained his ass off in the gym to lose weight.

                      Bottom line!
