Is Ward's resume really that much more impressive than GGG's?

As I said, the guy was coming off 2 ruthless schooling, completely exposed. And those belts, he fought mediocre Stieglitz for them 4x, including quitting once. Got a hometown decision against someone called Wilberforce Shihepo from Namibia. That scalp is no better than GGG's. That he's Ring #1 just tells you how weak 168 is these days.
168 isn't strong, but it's a better division than middleweight. Ward, Abraham, DeGale, Jack > Golovkin, Lee, Quillin, Jacobs.Comment

No, Ward's resume is not much better and in the last 3 years his resume is far below GGG's resume. Ward only fought twice in the last 3 years and neither opponent was that good. Ward has been a pro for 2 years longer than GGG but he has only had 28 fights. GGG has more KO wins than Ward has had fights. GGG just won every round over a world champion before knocking him out. If GGG beats Cotto or Canelo he passes Ward for resume in my opinion. Ward fans must live in the past to brag on Ward. He hasn't done **** in 3 years while GGG has been busy knocking out world rated fighters like Lemieux and Murray.Comment

Since Ward has signed to fight Kovalev and we all know Ward will retired undefeated. Might as well put Kovalev on the resume. Therefore, GGG will never ever catch up to Ward in resume ever. Kovalev's resume is 2 times much more credible than Little G's.Comment

Last week someone posted an interview w/ his old manager or someone who said Carl turned down a Calzaghe fight. I can't quote it without searching but few argued with it.Comment

Golovkin lacks any elite level fighters. Ward has 3 elite names: Kessler, Froch, and Dawson. Dawson was clearly diminished in their fight and should hardly count. Golovkin lost out on his chance to fight Pirog, Sturm & Martinez, otherwise his resume would be even with Ward's.
Otherwise their resumes are on par.- Ward's beaten 6 Ring top 10 SMWs with a total of 5 title defenses;Kessler, Green, Bika, Abraham, Froch, & Rodriguez and 1 Ring top 10 LHW - weight drained to SMW.
- Golovkin's beaten 7 Ring top 10 MWs with a total of 15 title defenses: Proksa, Macklin, Stevens, Geale, Rubio, Murray, & Lemieux and 1 Ring top 10 JMW; Rosado.

If you go on the just the last 3 freaking years, Ward's a joke of a fighter. Even now he's insisting on fighting young novice guys like Dunn & Murdock who wouldn't even belong in the ring with Edwin Rodriguez. He's essentially commanding those $2mill/fight paydays off of Froch's & Kessler's names. Given his current trajectory, his win over Froch will be on par with Zahir Raheem's win over Eric Morales.Comment
