It's not all that hard to be a champion in 4 weight classes any more. You do it the way Broner did it. You find a weak champion in each weight class or a weak fighter to fight for a vacant title.. Being clearly the best in one weight class is far more impressive. Broner clearly isn't the best welterweight in the world since he took two ass kickings at welterweight. It's highly doubtful he could beat Crawford or Postol at 140. He can't make lightweight so Broner is not the best in any weight class. GGG is recognized as the best middleweight in the world by almost everybody. He has never lost or even been in a close fight. He has never been hurt or knocked down. He has knocked out 21 boxers in a row. He is on almost everyone's top 10 pound for pound list while Broner is on almost nobody's top 10 pound for pound list. He is a much better fighter than Broner with a much better resume.
Only the very hardest of hardcore Broner fans could possibly vote him better than GGG. That's so ridiculous. Broner is better at holding and clinching, yes. Better at boxing? NO!!!!
What is Broner's best win? What is GGG's best win?
Why do morons take SO much stock into weight divisions? Some fighters just fit where they are. Judah, Hagler, Matthysse.
Not everyone can be Pacquiao and spread across 8 (9) classes. Crown him GOAT for that matter.
I would have said Lineals mattered in the past, but even this is a thin line. Broner's has zero Lineals titles btw. GGG (in reality) should have 1, and he's taking time unifying a class.
Not to mention...the other belt holders in the MW division been duckin' Triple G at all costs...it's a slow grind but Triple G will have the better legacy and resume...
