True, but I think it was reasonable given that it's the same weight Canelo has been fighting at. He's not suddenly way larger. He's going to cut much the way he has been in other fights.

Canelo has been avoiding MW like crazy, why is everyone acting like he wasn't involved in deciding the catchweight for this bout?

I'm sure he'll rehydrate 15-20 pounds overnight but still. The guy's been training and shedding off pounds for the last 4 months. One night of rehydration isn't going to do much.

Do you have any clue on what he walks around out? Just curious.

Maybe because Canelo is damn near risking kidney failure to make 155.

I don't see 157 being a problem. Knowing Cotto he'll ask for the fight at 154.1

This is why I'm rooting for Canelo. Cotto will turn into a diva with pea**** feathers for negotiations.

Well there's your answer. Canelo's nephrologist has spoken.

Looks like Canelo has grown into a natural middleweight. If he can get buy Cotto a good fight against GGG looms at 160.

No clue, but he started training for this fight in the summer for a reason. I believe it was to shed off as much weight he could before the real 10 week training camp started. I've never seen Canelo so fit at a kick off presser before like he was for this one. Shedding the weight is getting harder and harder for him now that he's entering his mid 20's. He ain't no young pup anymore.
