Even if he loses but holds his own, then maybe it'll give Top Rank confidence in stepping up Gvozdyk and Mekhontsev, who are way more talented than Slava.

Props to Golden Boy for matching their fighters tough. It maybe be too premature for Slava though. I don't think Golden Boy would risk any of their other fighters, but they probably don't care for Shabranskyy.

It's time for Gvozdyk to shine!! I think he has a lot of tools to become a star. Probably the most marketable fighter at 175.
Top Rank will ruin Gvozdyk, like they ruined Korobov and many others.

I don't disagree. They could potentially do that. We have to work with what we have right now though and right now Gvozdyk is with Top Rank.
All we could do is speak up even if it's just on a boxing forum it's better than nothing.

Top Rank should try to get him Braehmer. They're getting Ramirez Abraham, so they should try to take the other German's belt. Gvozdyk is a great fighter to invest in imo.
Good looking guy, Olympic Medalist (it's a shame he got robbed at the Olympics he deserved at least a Silver Medal) and he speaks English very well (better than GGG imo). Why not take a shot at him.

I don't like how Top Rank is handling him for sure. He fought only four times in his first two years as a pro, but it's better than getting into a mess like Mikey Garcia is currently in.
I would love to see Gvozdyk with K2. Top Rank and Golden Boy don't know how to handle their European and Asian fighters. They only go for the marketable Latinos.
Hopefully European and Asian fighters start taking notes and sign with K2 instead of Top Rank or Golden Boy. Unless the situation changes.

      They have to get Braehmer.

I don't think it was TR mismanaging him. Korobov had all kinds of issues, bad stamina, breathing problems, visa problems, always changing coaches. That said, they are holding back Gvozdyk. The other guy looks like a pro bust

Lack of meaningful fights month after month, year after year, combined with poor pay ruined Korobov, Zewski and Mekhontsev.

          It's what Top Rank does.

Compare it to the way Haymon and Dibella are directing Deverenchenko's pro career, and to what Golden Boy is doing with Shabranskyy. Both have been on TV several times. Top Rank will only have Gvozdyk and Ponomarev fight on non-televised undercards.

He LITERALLY cried after the Pascal fight.

              Like a big baby.

I hope Shabranskyy knocks him out.

Well, he did get robbed. Also, that fight was very important for him and his promoter.

96-94 on all 3 cards... Close fight but Gonzalez missed too much, went down on a power body puch that wasn't scored, and was outclassed by Pascal's experience... UD all the way... Seems legit...

gonzalez beat pascal, but krusher-pascal 2 was already in the works(and would make more money than krusher-gonzalez, of course) no way gonzalez was going to get a decision; that being said if gonzalez beat shabransky he'd be in a good position to challenge krusher and get paid, he'd get ko'd most likely but will still get paid.
