Kovalev fights in January then again around April/May/June. Gonzalez would be a good opponent for him then.

Don't know what else could be next for him. Don't think he'll get Stevenson... he has a mando and possible Fonfara fight and Kovalev is booked. I can see Main Events maybe matching him with one of their guys if they lose their upcoming fights (Chilemba or Barrera)

This may be too tough too soon considering Slava got dropped hard his last fight but that doesn't mean it won't be a good learning experience even if he loses just can't get blown out.

Yea I didn't expect a Kovalev match once he went to Pascal (thought he was going to be his November opponent in Russia though).

Though I'd give Kovalev a higher chance of facing him than Ward. I don't expect Ward to actually get into the ring with Gonzalez.
