I think GGG will have to take a low percentage to get the winner of the Cotto-Canelo bout. Both these guys have sold out venues so that's nothing new.
GGG will take home 30% of the purse minimum.

Right, why hasn't Cotto dropped the belt if it means nothing? Now unifications don't count, GTFO

No one gives a **** about unification. We want good fights. Lemieux is a bum. Andy Lee is a bum. And just because you write "unification" on the fight poster doesn't change that. Which is why this past weekend's "unification" fight bombed its ass off.

The winner of Canelo & Cotto should just drop the belt and go back down to 154, let GGG unify the division and focus on the winner of Lee & Saunders. That is GGG's goal and I hoep it happens. F*** all the Ward talk, GGG is the man.

You think the Lemieux numbers were bad. He may not do 100K with Lee or Saunders.

we could've gotten Golovkin/Ward AND Kovalev/Ward in the span of two years.

that was ward's plan. but triple g's team refused to even negotiate calling ward a nobody who's not even worth their time.

but this nobody is now on a collision course with kovalev to crown the new p4p king of boxing.

if canelo/cotto winner dismisses triple g, where does he go after that? ok he has the belt, but who really gives a sht about that, he needs a NAME opponent.

they also passed up on erislandy lara, sanchez said willie monroe was a bigger name than lara lol.. all that big boy talk from them will backfire.
Would def be interesting if both men decided to **** on team ggg & fight a rematch of this upcoming event...vacate the belt & leave him holding his di*k w/ no significant fight to fight. Especially if Ward decides to move on...GGG & his team seem to forget that mega-stars make mega-fights....foh w/ all the shenanigans.

It bombed cause GGG is not a PPV draw yet, and Lemieux a weak B side. Hell Ward Kovalev is one of the best matchups in boxing, and that wont do half what a **** fight like Canelo Angulo did. Either way, GGG vs Canelo is a unification and a big fight

I'd be shocked if Ward-Kovalev doesn't do 300K. I think that does pretty close 100% butyrate in the hardcore community.

It's hard to say, it will be two unknown PPV stars.

The PPV market is said to be dwindling after Mayweather v. PAC.

In wouldn't be surprised if it diD anywhere from 200 to 600.

It's not gonna do 150k, if it even goes down. How can it do 300k when the A sider barely beats that on basic cable? How big you think this hardcore community is? It's closer to 300 than 300k
