On the contrary, if the winner of Cotto/Canelo refuses to fight GGG without a catchweight, everybody will know that he has no right to call himself the MW champion of the world.

I want Golovkin to attempt to live up to his hype and actually fight a world-class opponent instead of making silly childish excuses.....

..... and considering the fact that Cotto weighs 153, and also considering the fact that only yesterday Golovkin stated that he can make 154..... a catchweight request from a legend who is close to retirement should NOT kill that fight.

Refusing a catchweight knowing that Cotto will be stripped would make Golovkin look like a paper champ who took the easy way out.....

If golovkin accepts the lower weight offer that's entirely up to him .....all I know golovkin will not lose sleep with facing either fighter even at the lower weight.....we both know he destroys cotto and canelo....for over 100 years these division have existed....originally it was 8 divisions. Flyweight,bantamweight,featherweight,lightweight,w elterweight,middleweight,
Lightheavyweight and heavyweight, they all had there weight limits but then we're big gaps between divisions where u was either slightly 2 small or 2 big for the division so they introduced the jnrs to give fighters more of chance to compete...so instead of 14lb gap between welter and middle they made it jnr middleweight which went from 147 to 154 and there ain't a 155 divsiion....how old are you buddy...seriously....it's just a website we are talking over but you just don't get it....boxing is a traditional sport where past achievements are written in history books...that's how we judge greats of yesteryear to today's greats......maybe you just don't get it and you think it's fine just to make up rules as you go along....I don't and that's why were different.....Ray robsinson boxed joey maxim ..he didn't ask for a smaller weight to fight him...sugar ray leonard never asked for marvin hagler to come down to 155 and those 2 fighters were actually going up a division.....cotto or canelo are asking for a catchweight and there in the same division as golovkin....that's proper f@cked and if you can't see that....then you don't know boxing .....if it's the way he gets cotto or canelo I hope golovkin accepts the lower weight because we need these pretenders back down to the lower division....so the new era starts properly
