I wont actually be shocked if cotto defeats him, I just think the fight would be bigger if GGG will be fighting canelo on cinco de mayo

        You taking the piss?

So, a ****ing ****eful, hopeless fight like Berto vs No Name 10 will get a few million easy, or Ward vs Chump No 3 the same...yet one of the very best, most highly skilled rematches in boxing today and the flyweight division in decades, between two of the top P4P fighters today is only worth a couple hundred K?

It will arguably be the very best match up available today between two of the very, very best fighters. Only fights like Ward/Kov, GGG/Canelo/Cotto etc are a match for it and they will be earning multiple tens of millions.

**** PPV numbers and all the other silliness. As a boxing fan, that is easily worth the couple of million those guys deserve to make it. It would be an epic rematch that could very, very easily surpass the two fights mentioned above.

Estrada vs. Gonzalez is Marquez vs. Pacquiao 2.0. The non-Mexican gets all the praise and support from the media and fans, but in the end the glory will belong to the Mexican, .

When u think about it, HBO paying bum ass Rios that, how can Gonzalez not demand a million for a big fight like that?? Some don't think he deserves and that's fine but look what a slouch like Rios is making and you will see where Roman is coming from.

I mean if you keep crying and begging for rematches sooner or later you MIGHT get a W -- so theres no real Glory in that ; especially if you don't return the courtesy and respect in giving the rematch when you finally get a win after trying 4,5 times ( I forget the count) -- Marquez.

That's why he's being built up. He provides must see fights and the only thing that needs to happen is for people to realize he's a must see fighter.

Peterson got paid like 750k for ****ing Diaz. A top 3 P4P fighter should be compensated for his ability.

HBO needs to make him headline a show for 250k against a live body...if he does good ratings give him his million for the rematch.....networks need to stop bidding against themselves just because Haymon duped Greenburg and Davis into doing it, and keeps doing it on his PBC like he's running a charity.

That said, Gonzalez has been asking for this figure even before HBO was in the picture....I think there's a bit of an obvious reluctance to that fight, because back then it seemed that figure was unrealistic.

awww gawwd. .pac and roman got to where they're at by hardwork and unbabied carreer outcomes, they earned it the hardest way..not like that mofo who got in the top 10 p4p by beating his first decent opponent because he was being hyped up in the US as an amateur
