Estrada lost the first fight, and would lose again, but if everyone feels a rematch is necessary I'm all for it.
You know what? **** it. Why do fighters even bother fighting. Let's just let super experts like you decide the winner of fights and look at boxrec all day for fight results.

Its actually this sheer hesitance from Roman nut-swingers like you that makes him look worse.
You're not scared for him in the rematch? Then let him ****ing prove it instead of making excuses for him wanting HBO to turn him into Scrooge McDuck in order to accept the fight.

Cause if Roman wasn't one of the "in" fighters at the moment, you would all be calling this a duck.

So yeah outside of John Murray in that list, all of those guys were highly regarded. When you always fight the best that is available, and not no 38-29 journeyman, or guys with 8, 10, 12 losses, you're gonna see big paydays. Also another big difference is who Rios is signed to and who manages him. Has has Bob Arum and Cameron Dunkin on his side, so of course Rios will get much better paydays with that combination.
Not saying Rios shouldn't be paid that much. He brings entertaining fights despite his lack of talent so I think his paydays are fair. Just saying that Gonzalez is a top fighter in exciting fights and he's faced some top competition already so I think he can demand similar money to Rios. The main difference between the 2 is that Rios was on American TV while Gonzalez's fights weren't. Gonzalez has all the tools to attract viewers and I think he'll succeed in attracting them.

I think some of u guys are seriously delusional about how this works. Gonzalez is an unknown to AMERICAN boxing fans. So no, there's no way HBO is gonna give him 1mil when he prob can't even headline and pull on 1mil viewers. Golovkin doesn't even get 1mil paydays. Smh. Be realistic. Not everything is about what u think a person should get. That's not how the world works. I think teachers should get paid a whole lot more than they do in this country. But that means nothing because it ain't gonna happen.

Seems like you don't know how it works. No one said the fight was going to be next or that they'd offer him $1 mil out of nowhere.

They're obviously going to build him up first (which they've already done) before they offer him $1 million to see if it's worth it.

They paid him $250K as a co feature on a PPV. Him reaching $1-2 mil after a few more fights to test the market isn't out of the ordinary at all. It happens all the time.

Build him up?? When? That fight needs to happen asap. Gonzalez isn't a prospect. He wants big money fights, he needs to fight in great fights. Stop deluding yourself. He would never get a 1mil payday anywhere else and I highly doubt HBO is gonna just throw money out like that with their shrinking budget. Fair or not, he's not getting 1mil unless it's on ppv and he generates it, which he likely cant.

GGG was in his position like a year or 2 ago...

That fight doesn't need to happen ASAP. Both of them are going to go up to 115 in the next year. The fight could happen very well then at that division.

Gonzalez fights like 3-4 times a year. He can be on HBO cards for some fights and he could headline a fight or 2 down the road with progressive success.

If they could get some Estrada fights on HBO to show what a great matchup this is they could get some very good money for this fight imo.

As it is RG is the only one getting any main****** hype so i struggle to see him getting the money he wants.

Estrada is a quality mexican fighter with a very exciting style, he could get hype behind him too.

That's obviously not true. Or rational.

Sucks for Gonzalez that he probably won't be properly compensated for what he knows will be a very tough fight. Estrada gave him a pretty good scrap three years ago when he was only 22. Right now he looks like he's come into his own and is pretty ****ing good too. The fan in me wants to see this asap but the realist in me understands that this might take a while to put together.
