I've see some posts suggesting the idea that Kovalev and Ward will now have 'lesser' fights due to their planned meeting in 2016.

So, as far as 'playing it safe' fights go, Pascal isn't too bad.
But yeah, i don't see it being any different to the first fight.

What pay day? Pascal fills up arenas in Canada on his own, there is a reason why Kovalev is traveling to HIS hometown and not to Russia.

Lol to all the idiots saying pointless rematch. Tell me. ... Who would you put in front of kovalev ? Han ? Stevenson wont happen quickly (if it ever happens), Ward wants tune up fight and there's an eliminatory set up on november 28. Kovalev has to stay active and its surely not by fighting bums like mohamedi that he'll stay active. Pascal got beaten, but still has been able to win 3 of the 8 rounds, what any other recent foes he faced never did . It will be an exciting fight, like every Pascal. You never know with that kind of fighter. He'll have to find a way to avoid that power jab . Thats what killed him in the first fight. Not sure he can do that with a coach like Marc Ramsay. . We all saw that exact same weakness with Lemieux Last saturday. .

Who said that? I thought the ref saved from Pascal from getting stretched. Pascal has heart but he was eating a lot of clean shots toward the later rounds which is very dangerous against a guy like Kovalev.

Not sure how Pascal can win the rematch but I'll watch anyway!
