If Canelo beats Cotto then Canelo/GGG is pretty much a sure sellout wherever it is held. A huge stadium crowd could be fun but I'm always weary of Texas reffing/judging.
That's a fight I'd love to see at MSG so that I could actually attend but unfortunately that is a pipe dream

Have you forgotten this was the equivalent of Haglar-Hearns. This was a top 3 fight of the past 50 years.U would think GGG, fought Mayweather on saturday, knoked him out in the first 5 seconds of round one, with everything his corner and him have been saying, and how he will be reaching this great stardom thanks to beating Lemuix!!
He's good, dont get me wrong, but tone it down a couple notches, hes still to fight anyone with aname, not knocking Lem, btw!Comment

GGG is sadly not really known in germany outside of boxing fans. When he was promoted here, he was always kept hidden, barely shown on TV because the german promoters concentrated on the guys who seemed to be more "german", like Arthur Abraham and Felix Sturm. Everyone in germany knows Abraham and Sturm even though real boxing insiders knew long ago that GGG is a huge threat to both of them so they always kept GGG low profile and never gave him the opportunity to fight for a title. Thats why he tried to get out of the contract and moved to USA and met with Abel Sanchez.
His recent fights are shown live here but thats usually at about 5 am in the morning and so doesnt get many viewers, so i doubt he will ever fight in germany again.Comment

A sell out at the MGM isn't all that impressive. The casino buys a large number of tix which they then give away to their big spenders who aren't necessarily fight fans.
Canelo vs. GGG would be too big for Sin City. Besides, this is a fight fans fight pitting two guys who can draw serious numbers outside of Sin City. Host it in a stadium packed with 40,000 die hard fans and make a killing.Comment
