stylistically i think Lara gives Golovkin a tougher puzzle to solve than canelo or cotto.

canelo will be right there to be hit and cotto has a history of folding under pressure.

ggg is elite level, hes a complete boxer, he showed great defense and patience. i see no threats at 160 for him, he could rule that division as long as he pleases.

i thought it was hype too but the guy kept making me eat my words, gotta salute.

but Lara >> canelo, cotto (imo)

It was his jab that broke lemeuix down...it was quite shocking to see it land so easy on lemeuix....it hardly missed...straight threw his guard....and it seemed not to quick but it still landed ...but it was also lemeuix lack of defence and not blocking that jab that made it worse....golovkin was a different league to lemeuix who was shown to be very limited in terms of boxing skill.....Gennady golovkin has it all

De La Hoya is still in shock

his golden Goose is being hunted.

But hey, De La Hoya should have zero issue putting Canelo in with GGG then.

Well... Golovkin took pity on Lemieux and decided to give him an immediate rematch. When Oscar gave Lemieux the news, this was his reaction...

The Mexican style boxer has a lot of heart. I foresee Alvarez beating GGG the same way Barrera moved up to Featherweight to beat Naz.

Alvarez has amazing defense and is an extremely ACCURATE puncher. The reason why GGG is great is because he's accurate. Lemieux is nowhere in Canelo's league with accuracy. However, for the times when Lemieux clicked GGG, that won't be the same story when Alvarez clicks GGG.

For some, seeing Alvarez as the underdog might be to Canelo's advantage, mentally, and GGG is no Mayweather Jr.

The jab landed 170 times in under 8 rounds. 170 times!!! That is over 20 landed jabs per round! He landed almost double the jabs as Lemieux landed total punches at 89. Total domination.

Lol, I actually didn't hear him say that this fight. Normally him saying it is as sure a thing as Buffer saying "Llllllets get ready to Rumblllllle"

Canelo is not better than GGG at anything but maybe inside hand speed

GGG would first break his nose, then break his will. It is so clear that Canelo can't best GGG, that most observers don't believe Goldenboy puts the fight on until GGG is at least 3 years older.

Are you kidding? If you are not, then stop it. You are foolish if you think GGZg always swings wide.

He can hit you from so many different angles it's not even fair to say he swings anything.

Also, he has the chin to walk through most fighters, band he tucks it real nice.

So many said they can easily get to him, so many have bled trying.

David came in with no game plan, I doubt Nelo or Cotto would come in the same way.

Before y'all start crying I'm not saying they would beat him but if you really think he would do the same thing to them y'all would be victims of circumstance.

Not a GGG fan by far, but if Canelo or Cotto get in the ring with this dude, their career's would be forever altered. In a bad way.

Oscar is speaking out his posterior again. Golovkin was almost flawless against Lemieux. Yeah there is a few wrinkles but after Saturday I'm confident he can overcome those flaws. The Canelo fight would be way more competitive (one can only hope) but my money would have to be on Golovkin to win. Cotto has no hope.
