Cong**** on the win for GGG! ! But i feel, as many have said on here, Lem was very limited, as in being a good boxer, he had a punchers chance, and that was basically it!! For GGG to say this "School" stuff is a bit to much, im pretty sure Rubio and Alcine didnt say this and they also beat him!! With that said, any "BOXER" with good ring cut offs a good jab, And defense can give GGG a bit of problems, he keeps his hands by his shoulders, bad if u have a good boxer with a good jab, the thing with him is that he imposes his power to intimdate his opponents and it works great for him, but now that he passed the test of beating a guy with good power, lets see how great he can be with a boxer, That wont just come forward and try to hit him with all he has to KO him (GGG), if not box his way in and out withput being hit, cause its the only way someone has a chance against him!!

We all knew this was a mismatch so the only intrigue was GGG's response to Lemiueux's power and speed.

GGG displayed his vastly superior fundamentals and ring IQ to, first, nullify Lemieux's strengths, then staying with that skill set, proceeded to close the show (like a true star).

Anyway, that jab was stiff and deadly accurate. It set up everything else. It reminded me of how people were sleeping on Kovalev's boxing skills until he dominated Bhop.

If Canelo thought GGG was just a come-forward puncher who can be got, this fight will re-jig his thinking.

And I don't see Cotto tackling GGG ever.

All that said, GGG could've been DQ'ed for hitting Lemieux whose knee was on the canvas. At least a point deduction.

What I got from Lemieux's interviews was that he was ready. Obviously he wasn't, and he needs a better trainer if he wants to go into another gear, but I don't remember any high drama Mayorga style trash talk.

Exactly. Wlad is probably the worst, but yeah Ward clinches a LOT.

        -------------------------------------------------------------------

GGG won fair and square, and Lemieux just wasn't prepared for anything but a war. That's more on his trainer than him. If he was better trained at jabbing and controlling distance, getting the footwork up to par, he'd have done better. I'm not giving up on Lemieux for now. Not yet. He fell short on this one from bad preparation, but if he had Hunter or Roach, I wonder what could happen. I mean, he!!... Robert Garcia even.... he taught Maidana to jab. Before that Marcos rarely ever jabbed. Look at Cotto now... a beast in his twilight ring years... because of Roach. Even Khan has improved under Hunter. As far as what's next, Lemieux needs a fairly easy comeback fight and a better trainer. GGG needs Cotto or Canelo next. I'd be surprised if he got by either, but if he does, impressively, then he may just be the real thing. I'm not like most. I'll take a wait-and-see attitude til the guy proves he's for real. But he is showing serious promise in the ring, definitely.

If GGG really said, literally "I think today for David, he went to school...boxing school. [It's a] different class. He's strong, he's a champion, [but it ] was a different class,"

Then I am utterly disappointed in this guy. I thought being humble was one of his qualities. If his rising popularity is already getting to his head, too bad, I am not rooting for him because I really dislike ego-maniacs. All that comment, as short as it is, is so extremely presumptuous.

I hope those were not his exact words, not even close to that. From his trainer, I can expect that and more, but from himself, I never ever thought he could be such an arrogant ******.

To be fair I think it likely came down to language, and translation to print.

He is always a good sportsman and complimentary to his opponents.

The question may have been misleading also.

He did exactly that, without hardly any clinching at all. He used his footwork to avoid getting hit when Lemueix rushed in... It's just hilarious that you're a Floyd fan and didn't appreciate what GGG did Saturday night when that's all Floyds been doing for the better part of 10 years.

I'm sure you're one of the guys who said GGG had no defense after the Monroe fight. He barely got hit Saturday night. And it's because of how good he is, not because Lemieux is a bum...

It's funny how a fanbase automatically hates a boxer just because GGG called them out. Boxing fans act like little fucking kids. Especially the Cotto/Floyd mafia.
