I am pretty sure I read somewhere that Pascal had a rematch clause, which would explain the rematch (and also explain why he fought him in the first place).

He's not getting Stevenson or Ward next, there really isn't a bigger fight out there for either of them at the moment. I don't need this fight, but I've certainly heard worse ideas for a rematch.

Not really. Pascal did well, keeping in mind how dominant Kovalev is. Pascal is also a lucrative name as you can tell by the atmosphere in his fights/attendance, so makes sense.

this is terrible. stevenson has the chance to fight kovalev on hbo but he won't. betebiev also turned down the fight in order to fight for kovalev's vacant belt(what courage) pbc ruins boxing. luckily they will be gone soon.
