I meant what I said: the 'worst matchup' (stylistically), not the 'best fight'.

I still wait Ward making that public statement about "the direction" he is heading to... In fact, I'm waiting for that statement since the Dawson fight, tbh.

He stole a win and was lucky he was in Canada otherwise he would of been boo'd to all hell.

It was in Vegas, but everyone watching except the judges of course saw him loose that fight convincingly. The other dude was hitting him with some really hard shots all throughout the fight, guess he should have tried even harder to put Pascal away because the judges had 0 love for him.

It wasn't Lara vs Williams level of plain robbery, but it was a really bad decision.

I don't like this fight in any sense.

If Kovalev just wants a warmup and HBO has made an agreement with Ward, then take a warmup, a fresh guy with a weird style to stay sharp.

Pascal was already destroyed by Kovalev. Yet Pascal is still dangerous enough to shorten anyone's career and won't be an easy payday. It's just a very strange fight.

Of course, it all comes down to those big Canadian pay per views and live gates. That's what it's about. Make some cash while waiting for Beterbiev, Ward, etc to become available.
