Look at my history. Hell, I'll even help you search any posts of mine where someone doesn't continue and you see me calling them a coward or laughing at them because they decided to not continue. Or simply couldn't.. I'll even have you go back to Ortiz vs Maidana or Josesito Lopez. Did I think he could continue? Yes. Did I think he could go on? Yes. I watch the sport to see a fight, to see contrasting styles, to see different outcomes in fights. Not to see someone possibly die. I get no amusement from it. I get nothing out of a fighter being taken to the hospital. Even a fighter like JCCJr who I can't stand. I can easily look in the mirror and be ok with the fact that I'm not pretending to come online and act like what these guys do is simple. I'm not online calling boxers *****es, cowards, bums for not continuing. I'm not in their position, unlike the poster you're cheerleading for. I hope colon pulls through. You never want to see a boxer in this situation.
On another note I see posters calling Williams dirty. How so. He was no more dirty than colon. All those shots to the nuts were not accidental . you're lying to yourself if you think they were. Just like all of the punches to the back of the head were not intentional. The fight got rough for both fighters .
Also no one can say with certainty that a rabbit punch was the cause of colons injury. Any one of the head shots he received during the fight could have caused his injury because a brain bleed is caused by his brain crashing against his skull. In other words its a extremely severe concussion.
The issue I have with this is how the doctor missed how injured colon was. He should have been able to determine if he was concussed we he examined colon after the rabbit punch in the 7th round just by examining his eyes/pupils constriction and dialation with a pen light. So if the Dr saw no issue at that moment one can only assume that colons injury occurred in the 9th round from the knockdown blows which were legal blows.
Lets just hope and pray HE pulls through this and does not end up like mogamed or McClellan and can one day fight again . most important is that he can have a normal life with all of his faculties.
