One thing this thread demonstrates is that if it weren't for Golovkin, nobody would ever have a reason to ever mention Ward.

Very astute point. Ward is like the "holy spirit." Nobody mentions it unless "the father and the son" are there first.

If Golovkin loses to this guy it will be hilarious.

Yeah, this sentiment is what drove Floyd's career. It's good to see GGG getting the same hate. His career is coming along.

Was with you until the ******ed duck part (you guys are like some backwards cult).
Lemieux is saying a lot of things that sound like he's working himself into the role. They're not the words of a truly confident man.

Why is it that hardcore Golovkids are the ONLY ones who say that?? Contrived convenience perhaps?

Coming along? Little G is 33, he best get a move on.

He's got time left. He doesn't depend on fancy dancing and running to UD's. His style ages well.

But you raise a good point. The boxing business today doesn't force fighters to face each other, even in their own division. GGG has had to deal with everyone ducking him, including the guy holding the MW belt after beating the lineal champion. I agree it's not fair, but there it is.

WTF are you talking about? Mexican style with an inclination toward brawling and zero defense ages well?? No, it doesn't. Or, are you talking about fighting shyte competition, because that does age well.
He's unwilling to change weight so I really don't see a future for him. No good fights at 160 and I don't believe Canelo out Cotto are going to fight him there. .
