Those are paid off rankings, you beat one good opponent in your entire career and all of a sudden you're the number 2 guy?
    Marcos Maidana
    Keith Thurman
    Timothy Bradley
    Amir Khan
    Errol Spence Jr
Would all beat him, he is a very overrated fighter who will soon lose due to his limitations.

Just think ggg hasn't beaten even one good opponent and many consider him #1 at 160

I dunno how many of them are truly champions but they are definitely titlists and in this era of multiple belts and types of champions, this isn't bad at all, considering, as the OP already stated, we're a pretty small country.

Guys like DeGale, Khan and Brook are maybe 1 fight or two away from being p4p and Fury could be a fight away from being THE CHAMP at hw. Not to mention AJ may be a few months away from becoming a legitimate contender.

We also have a tonne of great young up and comers, ranging from the lightest weights to the highest. British boxing has been going through a boom period for some 20 years now and it may well be reaching it's peak.

The amateur ranks are chock full of talent as well. We have burgeoning world medalists and a whole new crop of fighters to carry on the successes at the Olympics from the class of 08, 12 and I'm sure the class of 2016 will be just as good.

My only real issue if with hearns monopoly on Sky and a complete lack of boxing on channels such as ITV.

Ofcourse they wouldn't because Kell Brook only wants to fight Amir Khan so he can cash in his paycheck and go partying with his chav mates and no doubt get slashed or stabbed again.

              and not a f u c k is given.

              paper belts, paper champions.

              not 1 is lineal champ.

not 1 is a unified champ.

not 1 is the top guy in his division.

UK and Ireland is doing well.
Lots of upcoming/fringe fighters, prospects and amateur talent also.

Haskins, Crolla, Murray and Fury all have title shots before the years end also.

Thurman, Bradley and Khan could go either way. I would actually slightly favor him over Bradley and Khan, Thurman I'm not sure. Maidana he kills and Spence gets ran over if they fought today, and I'm real high on Spence.

The two who have impressed me most are Brook and Flanagan. They could be the best in their respective divisions.

Frampton, Degale and Quigg are very good too.

I'd like to see them all in unification fights.

                      I count 8, unless you're counting interim champions, then there's 11.
