It's very hard to predict how a fight is gonna play out in boxing, every fight is risky to some degree, however the excitment factor increases when the viewer feels that the 2 guys fighting are both top guys, can't be excited for a Garcia vs Salka kind of match.
I think PBC is doing a great job for their age (7 months) but they still have a way to go.Comment

Is it just me or does there seem to be way more 'underdog' performances in the PBC than everywhere else.
We got two more last night with Martinez beating Alexander and well past prime underweight Montiel giving FW belt holder Lee Selby a great fight.
More off the top of my head,
Fonfara beating Chavez Jr
Alejandro Gonzalez Jr giving Frampton hell.
Chris Arreola getting a lucky draw vs Fred Kassi
Willy Nelson KOing Harrison
Ricky Burns (seemingly shot and in a division above his best) giving Figueroa a very tough night
Most of these were set up as showcase fights for the star to look good but ended up either being losses or very rough nights. Some can be put down to underestimating opponents (Fonfara is obviously not just an 'opponent') but the others were pretty clear underdogs.
Am I looking too much into this?
Chavez Jr? Already had some questionable decisions in Top Rank but he was protected with corrruption due to his name. Then he had that Vera loss which was a robbery, IDK if he was with Haymon already, but Vera got robbed there.
Arreola has lost every big fight possible pre PBC.Comment

Ur looking way too deep into it. You have to look at the PBC n Haymon's league as a bunch of tools for the most part. That's y those upsets happened. I don't recall any fighter in Haymon's stable that took the hard way up...not chavez jr, not quicken, not broner... Basically these fighters took the easy way up n when they r matched against styles different than the ones they haven't met before they become "exposed". The reality is they're just not that good. You tell me why a fighter still grooming their craft like broner, chavez jr, quack r only fighting 1 or 2x a yr. they should b honing their crafts like ggg at least 3x yearly.Comment

None of those guys you mentioned are particularly good. Excluding Frampton and Selby, I chalk their performances up to simply learning experiences.
