dude, hatton didn't want that fight at the time, noted all over different sites and bob arum would not pit cotto w/ pbf while at 140 - he had no choice. gatti served as the most exposure. mitchell although shot, provided another name. you can't **** on mayweathers resume, he, maybe only recently behind pacman has the best resume out there.

Gatti cannot compete with any A or B level fighter. I bet if he fought Judah or Mitchell he will probably struggle and loose. Baldomir? He got a win over Judah that does not make him the best out there. You can say Baldomir and Maussa are on the same skill level. They fought a weak champion and obtained a belt now Maussa lost his and Baldomir will too. Baldomir is weak. He is thinking of retirement even as he goes into this fight. PBF whipped, beat, destroyed, embarassed Gatti and you are saying he is the truth. Cmon man be real. Gatti is nothing but a tourist attraction in AC. In boxing he is done. The guy has alot of heart but not the skills. I don't think he ever said Gatti was the truth, just that if he were to beat Baldomir, he should be the champ. I guess you could say that currently, Baldomir and PBF have equal claim to the title, even though Floyd is by far the superior fighter. His point is that Baldomir didn't lose the belt in the ring, but outside it, over money. I don't think anyone's deluded about where Gatti stands in boxing, he's just making a small point.
This would have been Gatti's chance to go out on a high note.

THIS THE SITUATION - Let me tell you this, as you all know I am not a big fan of PBF at all but I do give him credit for beating Zab and didnt resort to thug tactics like Judah, which he could have because PBF was losing for almost the first half of the fight so I do respect that.

The champ is Baldomir and hes fightin Gatti and since I think I am thee expert or one of thee experts when it comes to Gatti on this board I will tell how I think and how it should shake down at 147. In my opinion I think 147 is going to revolve around Gatti. NOW HOLD UP! (I can already see you guys going for the red karma) because if everything goes right im hoping Gatti can beat Baldy and be the linear champ so this is deal, no way is he fighting PBF again, I dont want to see it and the fans dont want to see it. The plan should be for Gatti to take on Oktay Urkal or the winner of the Cintron/Estrada match up, and then maybe a possible fight with Hatton. Which he then should vacate the title and possibly move to 154 for a possible last fight with vargas.

So that is really what it comes down to at 147 if Gatti beats Baldy it gonna be up to him on how many defense he makes before he vacates the title. In the mean time what should happen is after Collazo Hatton should fight Spinks and Mayweather should fight Margarito and the winner of those 2 should fight for the eventual linear title at 147 that Gatti will vacate
