this is how u prove this statement/headline is BS
he likely doesnt know one of the 160lbers fighters that hopkins beat in unifications fights...
hell i'm hardcore as it comes and even i've forgot...
it will be the same with ggg in 20 years with the exception of cotto/canelo winner
Jesus!
And they had to get it. He isn't stepping aside again.Comment

Ward doesn't have anything to offer him to make him wanna miss out on two PPV for a BET fighter.
Besides, Ward turned down GGG first.
Ward is in no position to make demands
Well it just came up, and there are 12 other threads to talk crap on? But yes, two very different issues.
Especially since most of those are not Ward fans, their Cotto or Canelo fans. Hiding behind a courtroom junkie.
and i dont care if they are cotto or canelo fans..they are going to watch the fight if it happens...and maybe the are just boxing fans who dont like p4p ducking..u ever think of that? i doubt it bc u're a fanboy and thats the only way u know to thinkComment

ward isnt ppv but david lemule is...i remind u that ward and dawson done 1.4 on hbo..david has only been on hbo twice...funny that u call ward a bet fight...david's last fight was on FS1 like toe to toe tuesday lol...so u have no point

And Lemieux is a MW unification belt, by its very nature makes it a better choice for GGG.
And GGG didn't duck anyone you.
Unless Ward is ducking HW champs, then I guess you can make some weird case.
Here is some facts you know, but ignore:
- GGG had offered Ward fights in past. Ward turned them down, citing injury, legal troubles, etc. Fair enough.
- GGG moved on, fought 4 times a year and became mandatory to the Canelo/Cotto winner.
- GGG then signed a contract to fight Lemieux on PPV.
- Then Ward decides to send Team GGG a contract to fight in A YEAR!!!!!!
- ONLY A MORON SIGNS SUCH A CONTRACT.
- I did not want you to miss that. Ward had no intention on fighting GGG this year. And no one signs a contract to fight someone in a year on 50/50, no when they have to UNIFICATION BELT PPV lined up.
You are so hard headed that you want to ignore this and just say its a duck.
Give me one good reason why GGG has to drop his plans because Ward decided to want to fight in a year?
Ward is a good fighter, from the past. But he is not a MW, he holds no MW belts. He is not standing in the way of GGG.
I get it, the 154-168 comment. Well Ward also is supposed to be fighting HW champs by now, but he is not. So there you go.Comment

To the editor of this article you suck bro. Hopkins unified the last middle weight title in September 2001 with a ko of Trinidad. That's when B-hop became the unified champ. Not beating De la Hoya in 2004. Unless your referring to some meaningless title that doesn't count and has nothing to do with being an undisputed champ, like wbo, or ibo or usba fake titles. The real ones are wba, wbc and ibf.Comment

What Ward did four years ago is pointless. You cant call yourself a PPV fighter after fighting no one in two years.
And Lemieux is a MW unification belt, by its very nature makes it a better choice for GGG.

When GGG said they offered Ward a fight, Ward never denied it. Ward had excuses, legal ones. Not even claiming they were not legit, but truth is, when GGG didn't have big fights, Ward wasn't an option.
Ward wanted tune up.
The catch weight wasn't an offer to Ward, it was a discussion with Dan. So I'm not gonna count that.
Ward did send an email with a contract to fight fall of next year, after each fought once.
According to Ward's team, that would allow the Lemieux. Not so surprisingly, it would of meant skipping out on the mandated fight with winner of Cotto/Canelo.
Why you can't see that is beyond me.
Both sides have admitted to these facts. Team GGG said they had other plans, like fight the winner of Cotto/Canelo. That they felt the path to MW unification is the better option for GGG.
You don't like it, but that's not a duck. It's doing what better for your fighter. Unlike Cotto, GGG isn't holding a lineal MW title Hostage. If GGG had a SMW belt that Ward was in line for, it'd be different.
So even if Wards team hadn't known about Lemieux, they knew GGG was facing Cotto/Canelo winner, and they knew he'd fight this year
It's not hard to see that their endgame was to disrupt Cotto mandatory in case he got past Canelo.
Not to mention the simple fact why GGG would sign a 50/50 contract to fight Ward in a year is beyond logic.
GGG would have to be ****** to give up his bargaining power by signing a year in advance. Not to mention giving up his path to MW unification
You may think that isn't a great thing, but since there were 4 belts, it's been done twice.Comment
