You pretty much said he shouldn't get much credit for fighting those guys because they are small and that he should go to 168 instead.

GGG needs to clean up 160lbs and unify the belts. 168lbs aint his weight class. Beating Canelo and Cotto IMO doesn't do much for me tbh not because they aren't good fighters but there are better ones at 160lbs. Ward can **** off and fight a cruiser weight if we are applying ****** logic. He is 175lbs fighter now and is MASSIVE compare to GGG. If he is so great let him lead by example and fight someone 2 weights above or better yet take on Kovalev. I am a big Mayweather fan but lets not pretend he wasn't a ridiculously talent kid who could make lower weights with 5lb increases 130,135,140. Weight class hoping these days isn't that impressive unless you take on the top dogs like May & Pac.

People called Cotto shot years ago...and said Canelo was overrated....i am not making this up this is exactly what was posted on here to discredit another fighrter...That being said beating either one is a decent win for GGG BUT both would have moved up to fight him and Hopkins got **** got beating smaller fighters in his 160 run right??

If he was a Haymon fighter, you'd be all over him, Larry.

To be fair, if he was a Haymon fighter, a huge chunk of his fans would be hating on him.

That is the problem with this site. The biases are so unbelievably transparent.

Same old people on the same old side.

I'm not sure how you can classify it as a "decent" win though. The only talent better than Cotto/Canelo at 160-168 is Ward. So by claiming that beating Cotto/Canelo is decent, then no matter what, GGG can't ever get much credit fighting anyone else. They're not really moving up when they have been fighting in the MW division the past few years either.

Fighting a tune up. Every fighter who gets in the ring with Ward, including GGG and Kovalev are tune-ups.

Just for the fact people use it as a way to discredit GGG. Just like people tried to use GGG to discredit Mayweather. Maniacs are unrelenting on this site wanting all kinds of fights with no thought or reason.

Now that Floyd'd retired, all his fans can come out and not hate GGG and wish him on Cotto and Canelo without fear of Floyd being thrown to the wolf. And for the record, I believe GGG stops all 3 in brutal fashion.

Subjective what do you mean 'talent'. Talent is a loose word because I think many at 160lbs would beat Canelo & Cotto. I am of the opinion Cotto/Canelo don't do much for GGG is terms of resume because he steams rolls them both easily they are a commercial value to him not a resume one.
