Bernard The EXECUTIONER Hopkins wasn't a regular "champion", or "lineal" champ he was UNDISPUTED and NONE of these fighters are ANYWHERE NEAR THAT.
golovkin is where he should be when he was like 25 years old or late 20's.
this is why im SOO critical of ggg and other "champions"
    LOL at this idiot!

Hopkins was 30 years old when he won his first world title and he didn't become UNDISPUTED middleweight champ till he was 39 years old, you plonker.

GGG is going to get there at a younger age than BHop. Providing he keeps winning, of course.

Hopkins also only got the shot at the lineal title because King thought Tito would steamroll him.

Cotto / Roc Nation have no such illusions about Miguel's chances with GGG........

Which would not be the first time that Golovkin's talent and power have slowed down his progress, rather than helped him progress quicker.

He would have won the WBC and lineal titles 3 years ago, if Martinez hadn't avoided him.

You are either ignorant or willfully ignorant of Golovkin's career - and for someone who comments so frequently on that very subject you'd do well to at least peruse his Wiki page before making comments like the one i have highlighted.

Golovkin didn't turn professional until he was 24. So how could he have gotten to his current status by the time he was 25?

Also, he was then with promoter issues until 2010 by which time he was about to turn 28 years old in April 2010.

From May 2006 until January 2010 he was with Universum and fought his first 18 pro fights. By Golovkin's own admittance he was held back from stiffer competition because Universum had no career plan in place for him. His last fight with Universum was against Mikhail Makarov in late November 2009 that saw a KO in the 2nd minute of the 2nd round for Golovkin to go 18-0.

Then came the Universum split and in the next 9 months Golovkin joined up with K2 and saw his first fight under them in August 2010, his 19th pro bout, a 1st round KO against Milton Nunez in Panama.

That 9 months inactive spell was the longest spell of inactivity in Golovkin's pro career and points to the issues he was having with Universum.

Effectively, we can fairly say that Golovkin has had 3 careers. One amateur career, a poorly managed first pro career with Universum and a 2nd stunningly well managed pro career with K2.

For Golovkin detractors to say that he has done "nothing" until he is 33 years old is in someway correct if you consider being a title holder and making so many defenses "nothing". On the other hand it can be considered a willful dismissal of late start a as pro and then 4 wasted years with Universum.

GOLOVKIN DIDN'T GET GOING UNTIL HE WAS 28.

And the contrarian argument would be "pity the opposition if K2 had signed him when he was 24 and not 28 years old."

little g has never beaten a great fighter yet

Bearcat ponders if lemieux would beat little g would it even be an upset? Given little g's string of nobodies beaten up who were not highly thought of outside of Murray maybe? Lemieux might actually be on the same level as little g just quite not as hyped by those desparate leeches looking to crown a savior in boxing.

It would be an "upset" on the physical level as GGG is considered to be superior skills wise. Check out the betting odds if you are "unsure".

It would be a "staggering upset" on the promotional side. GGG has been hyped far beyond his proven abilities.

little g has refused to fight Ward at 168lbs-FACT

Canelo vs little g at 157lbs is a fair fight for Canelo as little g is a natural 154lber. Ward cannot move down in weight to fight little g and would destroy little g at 168lbs. Ward beats Kovalev also at 175lbs. Cotto and little g is also a toss up at 157lbs with the edge to the c0mmie.

Too bad it's mandated. They are out of options, hence hiding behind Ward.

That's what they tried to do with Mayweather. Difference, people actually enjoy watching GGG fight, while people only paid to watch in hopes Floyd would lose.

The only thing that CoWard is gonna do is take GGG to court. He is ****e, nobody. His days are long past.

You knowledge of communism seems as extensive as your knowledge of boxing.

The Cotto fight would be mandated at 160. Cotto goes down in first five.

Canelo rehydrates to 175, always over 170. GGG to 170. Stop that nonsense.

For one, H-hop was much older when he unified the division.

Two, GGG likely gets the chance to do the same next year, or at least 3/4. And younger than B-hop was. At much younger age.

And he'll likely break his record at younger age too.

                      Here you go, read son.
