It's also worse than Garcia choosing salka. Ward is supposed to be one of the best guys in the world and he's trying to fight a guy who barely cracks the top 100.

    • He's fighting a guy who's ranked much lower than the guy he fought last time...

Even if it is a tune up fight, how can anyone even defend this?

I get along with 95% of the board, everyone thinks you're an idiot. Who's angry? You're a loser I have no patience for so I talk to you like the garbage you are.
You put too much value into an internet message board. It's easy to be "liked" on here. Just get on your knees for Golovkin, Kovalev, Klitschko, Pacquiao, and HBO. My opinions are valid and respected on here, they just don't agree with the majority.

It's cute to see you idolize men that were born in the same region as I was. Eastern Europe in general does not have a lot of respect (I'm putting it nicely) for non-whites. It always makes me giggle to see a Spanish man idolize fighters from such an intolerant region. You don't seem to be very self-aware. Especially since you follow me from thread to thread admonishing me for being a white man that roots for a country dominated by black fighters.

Maybe you should visit another strip club and pay hookers to listen to your feelings again?

What's funny is that Ward will probaly still UD this guy without hurting him once.

Two things: Sillakh is actually rated #95 and was much higher than Augustama is now before he fought Kovalev.

            Nice try, Pinocchio.

Also, according to BoxRec GGG is the second P4P fighter in the world while Ward is 19th on their list
Why Szef? What has Ismayl Sillakh ever done to prove that he is any better than the #95 (thanks for the correction) LHW in the world?

At least Azea Augustama only lost a decision to Denis Grachev. Ismayl Sillakh was brutally knocked out. I'm suprised HBO approved Kovalev-Sillakh, they are lucky Kovalev didn't kill that boy. Sick, disgusting mismatch.

I like Kovalev, he's a killer. His resume is strange though. Two excellent wins: Hopkins, Pascal. But his other defenses have been deplorable: Sillakh, Agnew, Caparello, Mohammedi. The boxing media should really hold him to a higher standard because he is capable of so much better.

            • I cannot believe some posters defending this attrocious match up.

Not that you would realize that as all Ward fans seem to be stuck in a time warp that ends in 2011. Most of them are also stuck on my ignore list, where you just landed.

Oh snap. Long time and respected Boxing Scene member Barcham has put me on ignore? Damn. I shouldn't have expressed an opinion contrary to his.

Wait ...who the **** is Barcham and why should I care? With his 2015 join date.

you should hold ward to a higher standard. truax, sartison, periban, pavlik, zac dunn, paul smith, and azea augustima while avoiding all the best in his division? really? come on now. 4 years running now and you still pretend he's not just looking for easy fights blind man

Well I don't know maybe because BoxRec's rankings are based on algorithms?

Stop defending this fight, you didn't know who Augustama is until you opened this thread and googled him.
