well casuals don't watch ward fights so you can't possibly include them. if hardcore fans think clinching 100 times should be allowed then boxing is doomed because tha was complete and utter sh-it. not entertaining and clinching is clearly against the rules. if rules aren't going to be enforced then this isn't a legitimate sport. do you think clinching that much and headbutting should be legal? if the majority of hardcore fans think its legal then they have been conditioned and tricked into thinking clinching is real boxing. its not.

He was denied the opportunity to fight him in 36 minutes, so we've moved on. We'll be announcing our plans in the very near future, as to what Andre will be doing for the remainder of 2015 and in 2016. But we are moving on because we want to move forward and fight the best".

HBO: "How about Yunieski Gonzalez? He just gave Jean Pascal all he could handle".

Ward: "How about Azea Augustama? He just got schooled by the guy I easily beat"

I don't think there should be any allowed clinching or holding & hitting. I think it f#cks up the flow of the fight way more often than its fun to watch. Its still something thats allowed or allowed within reason by most refs right now doe is the thing.

Headbutts aren't allowed, but I think the problem there its its rare when a headbutt is malicious & its even rarer that you can tell a headbutt is malicious. The overwhelming majority of headbutts are accidental. In the case of the headbutts in discussion I don't recall those being malicious headbutts or headbutts I'd expect a fighter to be DQ'd over.

Rather to a KO 5 for Kessler.

He actually sued Goossen because Bob Arum was promising him a Chavez Jr. if he broke away and joined Top Rank. Ward only stopped chasing that fight last year when Chavez's stock dropped. Then I think he started talking **** about other fighters chasing Chavez, though I might be remembering that incorrectly.

Damn Ward acted like a ******. He better stop doing that ****.

He only fought Bika and Green because other fighters dropped out. Blame them, not Ward. Plus he dominated the 2 best fighters besides himself in the tourney, the last 3000 miles away from home.

I think some just want to defend a boxer regardless, I like Wladimir Klitschko but the clinching he does over some of his previous opponents shouldn't be allowed similar to Bhop, Floyd and so on and so on.
Andre Ward Vs Mikkel Kessler fight was an absolute disgrace to the sport and Ward was the main instigator to all of that **** that happened in that fight just very shameful.

Leaving the accidental clash of heads aside, Kessler was completely clueless about what to do against Ward's outside game. It was going to be a long night for the Dane regardless.
