You don't get it. Before Chavez was destroyed by Fanfora. A GGG/Chavez fight would've been real lucrative and make a lot of money for both teams. A GGG/Ward fight would've been great on paper and for hardcore fans, but who's going to pay for it because Ward was nothing during that time. Of course it was obvious Ward was more risky than Chavez, but was it team GGG's fault that Ward was not a draw because of his inactivity. We all got to stay off the "what and if" world. The reality was Chavez was small risk big money, Ward big risk, no money and remember the guy wasn't available then.

Reality now, GGG the A-side, Ward either put up or shut up!

Sorry but no matter the $ that fight would have done nothing for his legacy ..This is the negative to the business side of boxing ..I mean what weight class was Chavez Jr even in the guy can't make weight and has a lazy work ethic ..The only reason it oils have made money is because of his last name .

That whole not a draw thing is an excuse to avoid him plain and simple !

Funny part was Andre Ward did nothing to make the fight happen. He just blew smoke. He made an offer when GG team was already deep into the Lemieux fight.

andre ward was almost forgotten until he attached his name to golovkin's. i don't remember any andre ward fans on boxingscene before that, even when he was actually involved in big fights

he thought cotto was done but evidently he was wrong. cotto has a good win at the weight and a title so he's fair game now. i actually think he'll beat alvarez
