I know, many of these Ward fans are actually Cotto/Canelo supporters
I get it Cotto is small, he shouldn't be in this position, but that is hardly GGG's fault.
Those who say Cotto is too small, they try to say GGG needs to skip his options in MW, and fight a LHW.
Canelo is actually heavier than GGG, so that logic is bent anyways.Comment

Infact Golovkin's trainer's statement was a very generic example of boxing trash talk and not really noteworthy in any way. The obsession with it is fake.
We all know who is bending reality to protect Ward from fighters his own size and why they're doing it. I just wish they realized how hopeless their battle is.
Say you got your wish and Ward was allowed to fight small middleweights and "warmups" at 175 for the rest of his career, then what? He stalls long enough for the golden age to return? No bro. Give up.Last edited by ////; 10-09-2015, 06:50 PM.Comment

You said, "BTW, doubt very seriously Ward is going up as high as 190. Canelo us usually around the 165 mark on fight night as well. And those weights are unofficial. And they often take place on the equivalent of a home bathroom scale. And the fighters are usually clothed."
I showed you why that is not true.
Also, why GGG and Ward would not be fighting in same division.
To make the claim that Ward is not both Bigger and Longer than GGG is not correct.
Ward is the bigger of the two.
Which is exactly why those who hate GGG go to him.
you respect Ward as much as Team Golovkin.Comment

I just said most of you screaming Ward are Cotto fans who are scared he is about to be exposed as the pretender he is.
Cotto has never fought at 160, but he is the Lineal MW Champion.
Not for long though, Canelo will be.
As for who wins, well we wont find out. Cotto has be ducking GGG for about a year now, and he will never get in the ring with him.
Cotto beats Canelo, he will retire.
If he fights GGG, he gets KO'd in 8.Comment

Golovkin's trainer saying he would fight anyone from 154-168 is far less ridiculous than Ward himself saying he would beat all light heavyweights, cruiserweights and win the heavyweight title from Wladimir.
Infact Golovkin's trainer's statement was a very generic example of boxing trash talk and not really noteworthy in any way. The obsession with it is fake.
We all know who is bending reality to protect Ward from fighters his own size and why they're doing it. I just wish they realized how hopeless their battle is.
They said this..... when we said, anyone from 154-168, we only meant for a money fight, like Mayweather at 154, or Froch at 168.
So Cruisin, you dont think that they were ever serious about Mayweather ?
I actually wondered if they were serious about Froch.
I know they wanted Chavez.
Cruisin, if you are right that Team Golovkin were never serious about Mayweather..... then Laughler and Sanchez lied and used Mayweather an excuse to duck Ward and excuse themselves from that "anyone from 154-168" schtickComment

But I dont think the weight matters as much.
I am not saying GGG doesnt fight Ward because of the weight, especially since if they do fight, GGG will close that gap first.
However, Froch is not as good as Ward.
GGG would need to close the gap to fight Ward.
GGG doesnt need to close it to fight Froch.
There is nothing wrong with that.
My view on Ward is GGG now has big fights in front of him, and Ward doesn't want the fight in the next year anyways.
It is far better for GGG to unify the MW division than it is for him to fight a LHW.
Its really an easy choice.Comment

Ring mag matters, unfortunately, they are used by many to judge who is the top.
And Cotto is Lineal MW Champ, he is quite literally the man to beat in the MW division.
Unifying a division is big, especially now a days when politics come in to play.
It doesnt kill me, because Cotto will lose it soon, and Canelo either fights GGG or vacates.
So, no big deal.
Yea, just a **** of the month
Can GGG be Boxings Next Superstar?
Gennady Golovkin poised to replace Floyd Mayweather Jr. as boxing's best
The leadership transition in boxing’s pound-for-pound rankings couldn’t be more dramatic.
Really, it didn't matter to the point I was making.
But then again, I am not sure you have a point, other than trashing GGG.
Must kill you that dude is blowing up.
That said, I respected Oscar because he actually fought the best. He was handed some things like any star. But he would seek out the biggest fights when he really didn't have to. Dude won his first belt at 130 and his last at 160. So he at least showed a willingness to challenge himself. GGG seems content feasting on a weak divisionand having his balls massaged for beating C level fighters for meaningless paper trinkets in manufactured events. He can be as big a star as he wants. But as a boxer he's done next to nothing in nearly a decade. And the fight fan in me simply wants to see him validate, or at least justify the hype.Comment
