I think the top boxers, the ones that actually make millions, owe the fans the effort to face the best opposition, fight the guys the fans want to see them fight, come in shape and give their best in the ring. That's it. That's not much really when you've already reached the top level.

Having said that, I think the people that get off in calling fighters cowards and quitters are losers.

They don't owe us anything, boxing is a sport just like any other sport, the objektive of any sport is to win, nobody cares if a basketball team plays an offensive or a defensive game as long as they win. Boxers should be treated the same especially since they're already competing in one of the most brutal sports.

If you don't enjoy the styles of certain fighters then don't pay to watch them, it's like going to a Snoop Dogg concert expecting some country music, there are different schools and different styles of boxing and nobody forces anyone to pay for their fights.

If u wanna see 2 guys standing in front of each others without much footwork then go watch BKB, that's the reason why this thing was created, smaller area to force exchanges, if that's what u like then go watch it, but in boxing defense, footwork and smart boxing are legal and they should be.

Your yes answer is worded wrong, they do owe us no matter what way you put it.
They wouldn't be where they're at without the fan support, are we asking for them to go and kill themselves?
No we're not, we're asking for the loyality, time and money we invest in them to be returned with entertainment not all fighters are willing to do that obviously but some are such as GGG but you have fighters like Floyd who has took millions of people for a bunch of fools robbing you of your money with pathetic ring displays, time-wasting, crying to the referee, elbowing, clinching and just in general cheating do us as fans of the sport deserve that?
          No.

Terrible post, what is the point of having the sport If it provides zero entertainment, the sport would be doing much worse than its current state with casual fans If all professional athletes were as selfish thinking wise as you are.

A true fan of the sport will want the sport in general to excel and quite simply guys who stink the house out to win don't do anything positive for boxing as we push on towards the future.

This isn't free.... I have to pay to watch these fights. Whether it's HBO, Showtime or PPV. So if I'm paying to see your fight and you're gaining by my support, I would say that at least you me owe a good fight. Doesn't have to be a war. A good fight isn't a war. All we ask for are good fights. Now in days we pay to see **** fights and boxers act like if u aren't super entertained, we don't know about boxing. As if boxing has become so hard to understand. It's a fight, hand to hand combat between two ppl with gloves. Smh

Who said anything about zero entertainment though? Again, you have the option of not tuning in. It's no different than putting coins in a slot machine, if things don't go your way it's illogical to think the machine (Fighter) owes you anything, in the end there is always a probability it might not live up to expectations. I mean, everyone swore Mares-LSC was gonna be FOTY, and while it was a pretty good fight, it never lived up.

Now this is a terrible post, Golovkin is very much in his prime and in comparison to Mayweather, the level of opposition is laughable. Golovkin is suppose to shine in his performances. Mayweather did the exact same thing when he was in his prime against that level of opposition, actually displayed more versatility and my GOD...your argument is flawed as fuck.

When's the last time GGG had to cry to the referees, elbow opponents, clinch excessively, headbutt and or finish a fight with a post-fight interview blaming the referee for his performance or calling his opponent out for cheating when he was doing the exact same thing?
                    ENTERTAINMENT, key word.

The last time he was 37, in his 4th weigh class, after a long successful career. Oh right, never. I've never liked the Maidana hype on here, please believe me, and Golovkin hasn't even faced anyone as good. Like I initially said, your argument is flawed as fuck.
