The PPV numbers for the Lemieux fight are going to be very important for Golovkin. If he can sell 300k or so, it will establish him as a legit PPV fighter and open up a world of possibilities for him. You better believe Cotto or Alvarez will think about fighting him if they think they can get a 700k-900k PPV doing so.

I agree with this post. No matter what has been said about GGG, if he cracks 300k ppv's the dynamics change.

Cotto Canelo and Floyd have something in common; they fight and fought the best opponents they could fight.We just want .Canelo isn't event that good but he makes his promo team get him fights that the public thinks he's afraid of, which makes him respectable. Kell Brook easily outclassed top 10 WW in Shawn Porter and top 10 WW Khan is afraid of him so maybe he is as good as they say he is..Race and where you're from does play a part but not in every situation..Prime example is UFC's Rousey; no matter how she, her team or Dana White tries to spin it,or talk about her selling ppvs, she will never be truly recognized as the best until she faces Cyborg and until GGG faces somebody good enough to win everybody's respect, he will fall in the same boat, coming from small country or not..

Well Ronda Rousey is more renowned, recognized than 95% of the people boxing and that's what counts her being American definitely helped her a lot.
Ronda is the champion of her division and Cyborg is a champion of a weight class above if it means so much they meet inbetween the difference is it likely will happen with UFC the only big potential fight I think they never really made that could have happened was Silva VS GSP.

Different to boxing it takes two to tangle, Ward didn't want any he knocked back the 164lbs offer so no excuses from Ward he didn't want it he's scared to lose a tiny bit of weight but in general I think he's scared knowing he's not the A-side that and the fact HBO would make sure the referee wasn't going to allow Ward to headbutt his way to victory like he did with Kessler but people still consider him great for shamefully beating Kessler like that?

GGG versus Cotto/Canelo winner won't be as much about A-side

It's a mandatory fight. They already said it will be at the MW 160. And sure, Canelo/Cotto will get bigger split, but if they don't agree, it goes to purse.

Doesn't matter, Cotto/Canelo will vacate before standing in ring with GGG.

I like GGG but no matter what his team wants to believe about his drawing power, he will not be tha A-side against Cotto or Canelo...

If Canelo/Cotto make unreasonable demands, like 155 for Lineal MW crown, or some 70/30 purse, GGG just forces them to go to purse or vacate.

That's right sucker. GGG is the draw against most fighter. Hell, Ward can't give away tickets.

GGG won't be unreasonable with Cotto or Canelo, but they already said, the MW crown will be at the MW 160. There is nothing unreasonable about that.

No it's not about what his race/ethnicity/background is..Cotto and Canelo have done far more than GGG and he can't be the A-side against either when they fight... Ward is nobody's savior, but he is the best SMW in the business and since GGG said he can beat the best, we want the best to fight the best....

It boggles my mind some people cant see the difference.

They want GGG to lose so bad they went back in time to find this guy who used to fight named Ward, and bring him up.

But even he doesnt want GGG until at least next year.

I like GGG and think he is a damn good fighter hasn't fought much of anybody competition wise but he for sure passes the eye test.

With that said I will NOT be ordering this ppv because its not a ppv worthy fight. Just like Mayweather vs Guerrero and Berto was NOT ppv worthy. Same as Manny vs Rios and Algeri was NOT ppv worthy.

Wards best wins are all against guys who were nearing retirement that's a fact Martin Murray is still going on and he is vying to win the title off of AA in Germany and he likely is a strong B level guy the difference is the manner GGG beats his opponents there is little room for clinching and foul play he beats them clean the same can't be said for Ward who spoiled and stunk the house out with the Froch and Kessler fight that's another fact
