This is hardly a big deal. Golovkin had planned to fight four times in 2015 and he will only be fighting three times. Opponents are limited for top level fighters. Fans want to see them in quality fights against quality opponents but the opponents are either busy with other fights or refuse to fight period.

sorry but this aint good, we as fans have criticized fighters for being out the ring anywhere from 6months+ bc it means youre only fighting twice a year. not to mention ppl defended kovalevs HBO contract, well his contract just made him a 2 fight per year fighter for 2015. hopefully he continues to train at good pace and is ready for january. i see ward taking two LHW fights at the limit while kovalev either waits on his IBF mandatory or explores a rematch with pascal for early next year. pascal last performance wasnt really worthy of a rematch so maybe they give him a fight to get back on pace for the kovalev rematch in russia.

Can't even feel too bad for Sergey for this. Main Events are a horrible promotion, I don't care what anyone says.
For his sake, he better not be a in a long term contract with those idiots.
Does anyone have any info on when his contract expires/how long he's signed to them?
He should go to Ryabinsky, who may not want to work in a co-promotion. Maybe that's why he hasn't accepted Sergey. Even though ME are not as useless as Caribe.
Or K2 who are actually putting in the work for their fighters.
Fighters should learn from this. Don't sign with Main Events or even Top Rank, it seems like.
HBO has not done crap with their fighters either. It seems like their budget keeps getting smaller every year.
It's time to start getting rid off fighters that don't deserve a spot on HBO and only put fighters that deserve the air time. Well that's just an opinion, anyway.
