Idiotic threads like this are the reason that a lot of people were pissed when they found out Broner vs. Khabib would be for a title...Both fighters were coming off a loss and Khabib hadn't fought in almost 2 years.

I forget who Broner beat to get his other titles but I know one of them was Paulie, lol...and Broner could've lost that fight. Plus, he has had other controversial wins in the past. Broner has a very wealthy advisor and has gotten lucky...no credit as a champion in 4 different weight classes is valid.

It sounds amazing until you realize who he fought for those belts and see that only one was a legit "champion" (DeMarco at 135). He won a vacant title against Vicente Rodriguez at 130 (why?). Malignaggi was the weakest title holder at 147 and should have lost to Cano the fight prior. And he won another vacant belt at 140 against Khabib Allakhverdiev (why? Allakhverdiev hadn't fought for 18 months).

Most of that has to do with having a good manager who was able to get these mediocre fights for vacant titles.

It's kind of like Tyrone Brunson owning the record for most consecutive 1st round KO's. Sounds cool, but completely meaningless.

that can always be debated and the use of the word bum amongst professional fighters gets thrown around a little too much, they definitely were not greats but some were pretty good... but hes the youngest 4 division world champ at the end of the day, hes an okay fighter with talent and I don't see him being great like the fighters uve listed but its just the truth, hes the youngest one.

**** off, the only legitimate title he has is the lightweight belt. Even then he only had to beat Antonio DeMarco for it.

That Broner is a 4 weight champ shows how easy it is for a hypejob to collect bull**** belts.

I don't think this era of boxing is that bad its actually a very good one... don't get me wrong boner is a good fighter he just lacks the discipline to be great IMO, even the way he practices he has some bad habits. but if you want to look at his accomplishment as a joke that's on u

Look I love boxing. Best sport ever. But this era is watered down. I'll agree there are some very good fighters out there, but Broner ain't fighting them anytime soon. His title wins are straight pathetic. If you think that his title win are legit then hey believe what you want but dude was gift wrapped his titles. Pretty much every fighter that has won a title in 4 weight classes is a hall of famer. Broner is not even close to that accomplishment if his career ended today. well being that I have tried boxing and understand how hard it is to be good at... im not just going to throw his accomplishments under the bus and say he fought all bums. all of these guys are good at the end of the day... to be a champ at this level speaks volumes in itself IMO.. I think that at some point in a lot of these fighters career u can question something im just not into constantly bashing fighters accomplishments all the time, but I understand where u are coming from (trust me I do). ive never said that the belts are anything to brag about but he is "the youngest to win 4" that's it that's all and he has the right to hold his head high for that if he wants... otherwise broner is young and needs to shut up and get better. we will see how his career pans out. If you truly want to evaluate his 4 titles in 4 divisions is, then look at it like this and then you can understand how pathetic it is. Most all if not all 4 division champs became legit hall of famers once they captured that 4th division title. Now that he has captured that 4th division title, do you think he is a hall of famer? If NO then you can understand how pathetic his title competition is.
