So golovkin unifying with another title holder,who's coming off of a 9 fight win streak is a mismatch and a waste of time? That actually says one of two things; either everyone at middleweight is terrible,and ggg is the only decent fighter,or ggg is so good,that he makes all the other fighters look like bums.

Lame for 2 reasons.

1. You saying his fight is not a "True Test" at the same time he has been your mandatory who you been ducking for going on 2 years now.

2. Acting like Lemieux who is a world champ and top 5 ranked Middleweight by every credible boxing outlet is a "Nobody". Meanwhile Cotto has fought a cherry picked crippled fighter who also ducked GGG and GGG's leftovers.

So Roach keep your mouth shut until Cotto is ready to fight GGG. I like the Canelo fight but lets be real what Cotto is doing with the Middleweight belt is embarrassing. Holding it hostage. I like the Canelo fight but it should not be for the middleweight title. Both have been great at Jr Middleweight and below neither has proven anything at Middleweight.

This is ploy Cotto fans using. Downplaying GGG's next fight saying he will kill Lemieux. That way if GGG looks impressive they can downplay the performance. If GGG struggles or they say you see he's overated. Meanwhile we all know Cotto win or lose has no intentions of fighting GGG.

I respect Cotto but I think Canelo would be the tougher test for GGG than Cotto.

Cotto is way too small in order to represent a "test" for Golovkin...
But in case Canelo wins big time against Cotto, I don't see him fighting GGG next.

I will say it for the 50th time, regardless of what happens in the Cotto/Canelo fight nor the GGG/Lemieux fight, Roach will never ever let Cotto near GGG. Everyone really needs to keep Cotto's last 3 opponents in mind. I don't think Cotto is even going to last the distance against Canelo much less GGG. Lemieux is a test for anyone with his power, regardless of any gaps in skill he has. When you hit as hard as he does, anyone can be a victim, it just takes one mistake. Do I think he will beat GGG? No. I see a mid-rounds stoppage for GGG probably. However, when you have atomic bombs in both hands like Lemieux does, nothing is ever out of the question. Listening to Roach is like listening to some homeless guy babble on the street about investing in the stock market or something lol. He has been wrong so many times for so many years its a major shock when he is actually right about something.

I agree somewhat with Roach

GGG toughest test has been Curtis Stevenson who is an under sized MW and he had his moments. Lemieux is a straight forward fighter and although he has improved there's nothing special about him other than his power and he was overweight to me for the 30 day weigh in considering fight of this magnitude. Even if GGG beats Cotto he's still fighting a guy whose greatly undersized. Lara and Ward wanted to fight GGG which he declined. If GGG beats a Quillen who I honestly think is his biggest threat in the division that would be a statement. Beating Andy Lee would be a true test as well.
