Just had to post a brilliant article from the archives over at The Guardian:
The Guardian, 2 October 1975: After one of the most incredible matches in boxing history, Ali will find it hard to step away from the ring
Have a read. The writer is spot on, the mountains of money generated by Ali would not allow him to rest and those who took some of that money, would not allow him to rest.Comment

1975 would have been the perfect moment for Ali to walk away, he had recaptured the heavyweight crown, beaten his greatest foe and was at the height of his popularity. The man could have run for president and probably won.Comment
