Where's the quality? Outside of the upcoming Cotto-Alvarez fight, how many quality shows have been put on outside of PBC?

In terms of quantity and quality Showtime/PBC are crushing HBO's programming on both counts (Showtime almost accomplishes that feat when only counting their own programming, but adding PBC makes things embarrassing).

HBO is literally going to charge $60HD for a 15:1 fight, with no qualms at all. lol

People always act like HBO puts on Ali-Frazier fights every month. PBC has had far better cards than HBO this year. Hard to dispute it..

Yeah a unification fight among 2 highly rated exciting middleweight world champs and the entire under card is stacked. I'll gladly pay the ppv for this then crap like Mayweather vs berto or watch for free the mismatch of the week from PBC with one name fighter against a no named unranked fighter. Quality over quantity

-David Lemieux won his title only after ridiculous shenanigans in Canada (three Canadian judges while being the #7 challenger against the #1 challengers, shrinking the ring down to barely 16'X16' at the last moment) and, even counting the four knockdowns, could only muster two 7-5 scroecards and a 6-6 scorecard from his hometown judges.

Crap on Mayweather-Berto all you want, Mayweather's undercard (Smith-Martirosyan, Gonzalez-Oquendo, Jack-Groves, Martinez-Salido II) delivered more value for money than anything anyone could expect from the entire Golovkin-Lemeiux card.

The promoters should be growing the sport by putting on competitve fights. I don't see how the fans are at fault because they complain about fights like quillin vs zerafa or Canelo va Kirkland. The reality is boxing has always given the fans the worst quality of any sport because of how it's organized, I think it's understandable why some people are sick of it. When boxing delivers, nothing beats it. The problem is, it rarely does and the people at the top are to blame because of how they manoeuvre fighters.

Dude do NFL fans whine constantly when the Monday Night game is Patriots vs Raiders and a total blowout? No, they just move on to the next one or don't watch. They don't complain ESPN is trying to ruin the sport.

People need to get over themselves and enjoy the sport of boxing. There have been many competitive fights on PBC this year. I've watched almost every card and love it.

I literally just went to the HBO Boxing site to check (I no longer have HBO, so the only HBO cards I see are the ones I catch at a bar, or the occasional fight that i double back to afterwards, because of the "acclaim").

Since 1/1/15, you MIGHT be able to point to four HBO telecasts worth anything (Matthysse-Provodnikov as the only one that clearly delivered a good show).

GGG is not fighting a unnamed unranked bum like you have seen all year long on PBC. Gonazlez facing Villoria again top 5 ranked in his weight class. You trying way to hard and making a fool out yourself. Both are much better fights then 95% of the crap PBC has put out this year.

ESPN decides what games they want for Monday Night Football MONTHS before the season even starts before the games are played and before we know which teams are good. Terrible comparison. PBC knows which fighters are good and STILL puts on crap fights. Too many fights that on paper are gross mismatches against unranked fighters that fans have not asked for. You can cry all you want but most boxing fans see through this and it's a major reason why boxing fans have been saying NO to PBC and the ratings reflect this. Not only are hardcore boxing fans saying these fights are crap but casual fans could care less. You want to say it's free so just watch crap and be quiet. First it's not free ESPN, Spike, FoxSports1 and about 90% of the fights PBC airs are on paid cable. Second the vast majority of the fights on paper are terrible fights fans don't want to see. Quality over Quantity.
