"I hate more boxing on TV"

Maybe some of you guys just don't like boxing THAT much. I've been watching boxing on TV since those Larry Holmes vs Rocky Pepeli Tuesday Night Fight days & I'll keep watching. I love the sport. I wasn't *****ing about Holmes vs Pepeli.

PBC airs what 20X the amount of fights HBO has and you can count on maybe one hand the amount of fights that were decent matchups on paper. That's a horrible percentage lol And for my money Matthysee vs Ruslan is still FOTY. PBC more fights, HBO better fighters and better fights on average then what you get from PBC. I don't know how you can even dispute that fact. HBO right now has 9 of the top 10 P4P best fighters in the world. They don't have as many fights per week/month but when they do have a fight you more often then not know it's going to be good quality. The opposite is true for PBC they have so many fights and fans just shake their head and laugh at when they are announced. Just tons of irrelevant gross mismatch fights. We all know PBC has more fights that's not a debate. But 95% are gross mismatches and the fans are seeing through it which is why the TV ratings are in the trash. PBC is a weak product. Again I'll take Quality over Quantity any day.

On paper there have been 1 or 2 from ALL NETWORKS that i couldnt pick the winner. Thats a horrible way to look at it. Watch the fights and dont worry about it. Wilder fight this past weekend is a great example. Horrible on paper but good to watch.

Im a boxing fan so i watch the sport and leave the number cruching and money to those in power.

While you were complaing about things you really know nothing about but think you do you have been missing some good fights.

A one sided shut out is the FOTY? Yeah, you really don't know jack squat about boxing. I'll take your boxing card right now lil homey, I'll let you know when you can have it back.

I don't give a Damn what looks good on paper, the matchmakers obviously know more than you do dummy. Guerrero vs Martinez didn't look good on paper but in reality was a better fight than freaking Mathysse pummeling Provodnikov over 12 rounds.

Most that root against PBC are foreigners with an agenda or Americans that hate black fighters but they do have a point about the quality of fights. PBC has 8 upcoming cards already scheduled. The best fight is Fonfara-Cleverly. That's pretty poor.

With that said PBC has put on 28 shows since March. They've given us a lot of good fights, both in the ring and on paper. Hard to listen to most of the Negative Nancys as they were even b*tching about LSC-Mares.

In terms of quantity and quality Showtime/PBC are crushing HBO's programming on both counts (Showtime almost accomplishes that feat when only counting their own programming, but adding PBC makes things embarrassing).

HBO is literally going to charge $60HD for a 15:1 fight, with no qualms at all. lol
Showtime and quality? I haven't even heard of some the fighters they have had on Showtime lately. And I believe its because the match makers for PBC are horrible. But you are free to believe its quality and regardless how many fights they force feed us I don't believe for the most part that they have been quality fights. But what is even more important is that many of my friends who are casual boxing fans agree with me.

No it's not when a fight is announced fans either say hey this is a decent fight or this fight SUCKS! And too often then not PBC fights when announced suck. There is a difference between one fighter who is better and supposed to win fighting against another top fighter in the division but maybe not elite or the best fighter in the division. Instead with PBC you got a name fighter in a division fighting unnamed, unranked, guys who have never appeared on a major telecast fight before. That's the difference. And trust me fans can tell the difference too which is why PBC TV Ratings are in the toilet and declining each month. Sure every now and then a fight that was a huge mismatch waste of time on paper ends up being a decent fight. But that's your classic case of even now and then a blind squirrel finds a night. And as we see with PBC even in those cases where luckily the fight wasn't as one sided as we thought the problem is it's such a mismatch on paper that fans are not even bothering to tune in.
