Him fighting Mattysse at 144 for 140 lbs title is not much better than Cotto fighting Canelo at 155 for the 160 title.

Would be a great fight nonetheless, I got Pacquiao by UD.
I agree, he is obviously not going to fight the welters.

I told everyone years back that " manny-weight " was a nasty precedent.

Funnily enough, fighting at " manny-weight " is still accepted, if your name happens to be Manny..... but not if your name is Canelo, or Cotto.

    That was a nasty precedent.

But that is called fighting junior welters, at welter

Crawford, although very good and alotta potential, compared to Lucas opposition hes a beginner. Khan belpngs nowhere on that list.

In the end itll be Crawford to get the fight...or vargas, or bradley
Matthyse has also lost to people who are worse than guys on that list.

            Its about levels/styles.

He is made-to-order for Pac, and the easiest opponent of the 5 mentioned.

            • Oh Amir, you got played again! You knew Arum wasn't gonna let it happen! It was all media hype! Go ahead and fight Thurman or Porter, then get your money with Brook in 2016!

              • We should've seen this coming!

                October 16, 2014:

"Al Haymon will not fight Manny Pacquiao, guarantee that. Because they're scared, all of them. His lead guy all the way down. It's not going to happen. All of the excuses about they don't like Bob Arum; it's just excuses," Roach said.

                http://www.sportsworldnews.com/artic...uiao-video.htm

Who's the scared one now Freddie? Danny Garcia...NOPE, Amir Khan...NOPE! Lucas Matthysse, who clearly loss to Danny Garcia...YEP, that's the one!

Even the average LW Molina gave him fits at times.

Call that " top " if you wish.
Lucas lost clearly once. He was screwed once, and most people thought he beat Judah, though I can see how Judah could get that decision.

Lost every time he stepped up is a huge overstatement.

An overstatement maybe, but I dont think its a huge one.

Matthyse best opponents are Judah, Alexander, Peterson, Garcia.

The only thing not 100% accurate about my post is the fact that Matthyse folded Peterson...... other than Peterson, I'm pretty much right.

IMHO, Peterson kills himself to make weight and would be a better fighter at 147. Could be wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Matthysse clearly beat Alexander and it's considered a robbery. Most people think he beat Judah, and no one expected him to. Provodnikov is on this level and Matthysse whooped him.

Matthysse has only disappointed when stepping up against Garcia.
