Does anyone else think Lennox would have got KO'd if the fight had continued?

    We just don't know.

What we know is Vitali wanted to fight on, and that he was prevented from doing so.

There should absolutely have been a rematch.

Fight was close, but Vitali was indeed taking over winning on rounds.

Unlucky cut, **** happens though right

Lennox was targeting that eye pretty ruthlessly. He's one of the most accurate heavyweight fighters of all time, and one of the hardest punchers.

If the fight continued, Vitali probably would be blind in his left eye and would've been forced to retire from boxing ten years earlier than he did.

Lewis was gassed in round one, it's only when Vitali gassed did Lewis start winning rounds with superior fighting ability.

jesus christ. it's been 12 yrs.

vit klit did good but lennox broke his face.

            TKO

            simple as that.

he did well and showed heart vs. an old out of shape lennox.

but old out of shape lennox still beat him.

lewis didn't train very hard and it showed.

Everyone talks about Lewis being tired because he plopped down on his stool.

Lewis was a ****ing veteran. He would have been fine -- especially since his opponent was pretty damn tired himself. Vitaly spent the entire sixth round holding on to Lewis. And eating uppercuts. If the fight had gone on, Vitaly would've lost an eye and it would've been stopped anyway. His face was a mess and even during the post fight interview he had some sort of thick blood and tissue in his mouth while he was speaking. He was jacked up. Ref did him a major favor.

Lewis was a 12 rounds fighter, he would have battered that eye even further, he had a great jab and a devastating right hand.

yea,,,they were both exhausted and the cuts were too bad to keep the fight going so it was a legit win for lewis but I still think he should have rematched him

Actually Lewis landed the hardest punch of the fight in the last round and did most of his damage there, he had Vitali hurt and staggering across the ring by the end.

It wouldn't be the first time Lewis knocks a guy out after weathering an early storm. Vitali was there for the taking.
