Regardless of what he did or didn't do , if he moves up to LH and beats Stevenson or Kovalev thats another division and possibly becoming undisputed and that would be epic.
Counting Down to Andre Ward's Inevitable Takeover of the Sport of Boxing

When I hear takeover, I imagine someone that actually have a fanbase, and sell pretty good wherever he is fighting. If you tell me that Ward is going to do that in a year or two, then I would accept it.
But let's see how things playout!Comment

Its like they never even seen the guy fight. He is a fantastic inside fighter that knows how to manuver his opponents in the pocket. They act like the guy grabs and dances all over the ring, which is patently false.Comment

I think it's possible he's next as well. Him or Golovkin. Maybe both. But...I didn't like how Ward looked against Smith. I know he's rusty but there was a lot missing. He needs at least one more tuneup before tangling with the big boys.Comment

I think Ward is the most talented fighter in boxing today. But he's sullied his career with all his legal problems. He's just not well known enough or exciting enough to be a superstar. Talent is not a guarantee of being a superstar. Look at RigoComment

If he fights consistently two times a year he will be in great shape.
He is currently generating a large amount of ill will, with hate levels going through the roof after Kovalev he is well on his way to stardom as long as he cultivates it properly.
The funniest part will be when he fights Stevenson and all the dudes that clowned Stevenson are all of a sudden his biggest fans (with alts most likely), then back to hating him (with original accounts) after he fails to take Ward out with the good lefts hands he lands.Comment
