Ward would catch that heat unless Pascal was a one off big time PPV at 175, and Ward was heading back down to unify the belts and take part in a megafight PPV. But in reality he last fought at 172, his next fight is likely an undercard catchweight against a bum. The dude apparently turned down Gonzalez, and has been trying to get HBO to buy Periban or Zac Dunne.
Golovkin would drop to 154 for Floyd
Golovkin would not drop to 154 for Canelo

Obvious duck is obvious. Can't even use the "big fight" excuse because Mayweather and Alvarez were both superstars. He was gonna bring in a major haul regardless of which guy he got.

Golovkin would go to 168 for Froch
Golovkin would not go to 168 and demanded a catchweight for Ward

I don't believe that smaller guys can duck bigger guys, but GGG had no intention of fighting Ward. The only thing you have is "Froch ducked GGG," and that's not even true lol

Hey dumbfcuk, if you want 50/50 vs a star, you gotta bring something. Usually starts with tickets sold and viewership, then PPVs sold etc.

The B sider that won't concede on weight and wants 50/50 is losing more and more ground. He last had 300k viewers in long anticipated return on basic cable, and at best is on undercard next, below the guys PPV GGG is scheduled to fight in a mega PPV unification.

        Looooool @ star.

GGG ran away from an opportunity to be p4p number 1. That's all there is to it.

I'm pretty sure you were opposed to A side/B side convos when Pac was involved. Funny how you abandoned him.

GGG offered to drop to 154 for both Canelo and Cotto before they came into his division. The winner of Cotto/Canelo is rated above GGG in every reputable MW ranking. No CW for 3 MW belts + lineal, GTFO.

GGG already agreed to fight Ward when HBO came calling, well before he could dictate the weight or even ask for 50/50. The timing wasn't right for Ward. Well the timing is off for GGG now that he's got unifications in the pipeline, including the mega one vs Cotto/Canelo. Once the division is cleared, it'll happen but not if Ward wants 50/50 lol. At the current rate he'll be lucky to get 25% by that point.

But GGG offered to fight them at 154 lmao. Also, fighting at 154 is not a catchweight. That's just a JMW fight, where the MW titles would not be on the line. When Ward beat Dawson, he didn't become the LHW champ, because it was an SMW fight.

Uh you're in denial. Sells out SoCal, now sells out MSG, A-side on HBO PPV. Wtf is a star to you?

I think the knocking out Canelo should take him far, p4p wise and broader. But Periban and Zac Dunne, that won't help Ward p4p or broader. Shame, he's got the talent, Kovalev 3lbs up, and nothing going on otherwise.

Cotto was The MW champ at MW in May 2015 dumb****, and Canelo his next challenger (who hadn't made 154 in 1.5+ years)

Floyd Mayweather was the JMW champion for 2 years, but everyone with functioning brain cells called him a welterweight.

Cotto is the MW champion, and has yet to have a fight higher than 157, right in between 154 and 160. Why not meet him at 154 if he can make the weight? Remember all the drub you've been talking about how the B side has to make concessions? You're not gonna try to tell me that GGG is a bigger star than Alvarez or Cotto because he sold out a whopping TWO locations, are you?

Canelo has been fighting JMW fights at catchweights, which makes him a JMW for all intents and purposes. He's also never had a fight higher than 157 which means the fight could be contested at either weight. See the "A side" discussion for decisions on weight class/catchweights.

Because the winner is the WBC and lineal MW champ, and GGG his mando, that's why. If they want a CW, they gotta make it worthwhile to him or drop the belt. If they're too small for 160, drop the damn belt.

Put it this way, Ward is a better fighter than Golovkin, and would likely beat him based on styles/levels..... if the fight got made tomorrow, Ward would be the betting favorite..... so I got no problem at all with Ward being ranked ahead of him P4P.

Everyone who matters knows how good Ward is.
But is this is p4p, we have to shrink Ward proportionally from 172 to 160. Are you still sure that he will be a favorite against GGG?
