Ward said he'd drop to 160 for Floyd, but won't come down to 164 for GGG. Clear duck, right? It's a simple principle, go up to 168, down to 154 for a big, PPV fight, and that's before GGG was PPV himself. Not for a B sider that wants 50/50 lol.

Ward would catch that heat unless Pascal was a one off big time PPV at 175, and Ward was heading back down to unify the belts and take part in a megafight PPV. But in reality he last fought at 172, his next fight is likely an undercard catchweight against a bum. The dude apparently turned down Gonzalez, and has been trying to get HBO to buy Periban or Zac Dunne.

Well the timing is off for GGG now that he's got unifications in the pipeline, including the mega one vs Cotto/Canelo. Once the division is cleared, it'll happen but not if Ward wants 50/50 lol. At the current rate he'll be lucky to get 25% by that point.

But GGG offered to fight them at 154 lmao. Also, fighting at 154 is not a catchweight. That's just a JMW fight, where the MW titles would not be on the line. When Ward beat Dawson, he didn't become the LHW champ, because it was an SMW fight.

I think the knocking out Canelo should take him far, p4p wise and broader. But Periban and Zac Dunne, that won't help Ward p4p or broader. Shame, he's got the talent, Kovalev 3lbs up, and nothing going on otherwise.

Cotto is the MW champion, and has yet to have a fight higher than 157, right in between 154 and 160. Why not meet him at 154 if he can make the weight? Because the winner is the WBC and lineal MW champ, and GGG his mando, that's why. If they want a CW, they gotta make it worthwhile to him or drop the belt. If they're too small for 160, drop the damn belt.

Like I said, he just had to show up.

Put it this way, Ward is a better fighter than Golovkin, and would likely beat him based on styles/levels..... if the fight got made tomorrow, Ward would be the betting favorite..... so I got no problem at all with Ward being ranked ahead of him P4P.

Everyone who matters knows how good Ward is.

But is this is p4p, we have to shrink Ward proportionally from 172 to 160. Are you still sure that he will be a favorite against GGG?
