    Povetkin's resume isn't very impressive

It's actually not that much better than Wilder's. You can bring up top 10 fighters all you want, but it doesn't mean anything when that fighter is only in the top 10 because he fought bums.

    Povetkin's best wins:
    Takam, Chagaev, Chambers

Takam & Stiverne are by far the best wins each man has on their resume and are pretty equal level of fighters. Perez doesn't count as he didn't even train, same result would occur with Wilder. After that is a big fall off in quality.

Chagaev-Has close wins over Valuev, Oquendo, Ruiz, and Vyrchys. An elite fighter would not struggle so mightily with all these guys. Valuev, the best win out of all 3, has a robbery over Holyfield, and could barely beat Ruiz, he too is an extremely overrated fighter.

Chambers-A close win over Peter & Brock, KO'd by Wlad, a loss to Adamek, and a loss at cruiser. What has he proven against quality competition other than he loses?

Povetkin also struggled badly with former protected cruiserweight champion Marco Huck. He also got badly beaten by Wlad, even Jennings put up a much better fight.

Who else is left on Povetkin's resume, Boswell, Charr, Estrada, Donald, Byrd, Wawryzk, Rahman? Wilder would run through all of these guys.

It's Stiverne & Takam, then everyone else. Povetkin didn't exactly dominate Takam either like Wilder did Stiverne. He got buckled a couple of times and the fight was relatively close until the KO.

well povetkin should have a win over wlad but i suppose a dq win doesn't look that good but when a guy won't fight and clinches you nonstop that means you are doing something right

      Yeah but everyone knew this.

Povetkin has a great amateur pedigree but was disappointing as a pro. His last 2-3 fights he finally looked like the fighter everyone expected him to be. So the hype is based off what they feel he's capable of if he reaches his potential. Not because of his resume from a underachieving pro career.

It isn't but one thing I noticed is that once Povetkin hurts an opponent he finishes them very well. If he hurts Wilder I expect the same outcome and I'm still very skeptical of Wilder's ability to recuperate from a finisher like Povetkin.

His experience and resume is still much deeper than Wilder's.

Regardless, Povetkin's resume is still loads better... you're trying to play the "he'll beat all these guys" game? lmao

If Povetkin fought all the people Wilder has, he'd probably be 35 KO's

He's basically beaten the division twice over but lacks that definitive title win because he can't beat Wladimir and other titlists like Haye didn't consider him worth the risk.

                Very good record you listed.

why can't he beat wlad? they've never fought unless you count that clinch fest which should have been dq. wlad spent over 5 rounds time wise just clinching. he's a joke.
