Comments Thread For: McCrory: Mayweather Not TBE, He'll Fight Again

Former champion and Sky Sports expert analyst, Glenn McCrory, expects Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) to fight again and chase his 50th career victory.

Mayweather announced his retirement following the September 12th decision win over Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The pound-for-pound king is one victory away from breaking the 49-0 record of legendary heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano.

He might want another easy touch for his 50th. For his 51st he will try to become TBE, and fight GGG at 160.
Because as of this minute he has no intention of making people think he really wants to become TBE.

Mayweather has plenty of fights worth a rewatch. Why act like the first 10 years of his career doesn't exist?

In other words Floyd is boring to watch.

Legends are exciting to watch. Calling card of the greats of this game.

Floyd ducked his main threat stylistically 4 times (Amir Khan) so he could never even be considered top 100 atg and Khan is automatically higher ranked atg due to the persistent ducking by Floyd?

Who cares what this clown thinks

5 to 6 years ago he said mayweather was overrated and De La Hoya beat him - Mosley would beat him blah blah

now he jumps on the bandwagon - just for everyone's info - khan is not a style nightmare for mayweather - timing beats speed

i don't see slow guys like Garcia or Diaz or other guys like petersen - algeri who are miles away from speed that mayweather has and they all found the target easily enough

There's a classic line in gladiator....what we do in life will echoe in eternity.....all legends have that great fight and that surreal moment when it's all going wrong and they pull it up from there gut......mayweather has not had that sort of fight...and don't say he has not been tested because he has.....he should of lost the Castillo fight.....so he has been tested.....it's the fact he manipulates the game before it starts....with gloves...with testing....with Vegas ....with bayless .even NSAC seem to be floyds corner.....a Ray Leonard, hearns, duran would not have chosen a berto for a farewell fight and if they did have it would have been over before the 6th round...... There's a lot of cobwebs in floyds closet and when the drug cheating finally gets exposed he won't even be talked about in boxing circles as a top 10 all timer...peace out

Floyd will be lucky if he is top 20 ATG and he would have done better than he ever imagined he could do.

He never took the risks to be as high as SRL, Duran and Pac from recent times. He wont step up in weight and take a risk like they all did. He wouldn't even fight Sergio who had a dodgy leg and Floyd is probably kicking himself after how easy it was for Cotto. He wont fight outside his country.
Could he sit back and pot shot in England if he thought the judges might not be with him on his side? So if Floyd makes top 20 he will have over achieved.

I don't have Floyd in top 10 let alone TBE but the idea that he can't be the best because of his fights lacking excitement has never made sense to me.
