Forget Pacquiao. That's typical Top Rank waiving high purses so that their injured guy doesn't face better 140 opposition. I rather see two champs defend their belts in a unification. Pac loses so he comes back for a title shot? Yeah.. so practical for Top Rank..

Postol looks a good fighter, always moving and using angles, busy with the jab. I could see him winning rounds, but Matthyse is intelligent enough to set-up his shots and find his range as the fight goes on. The Aydin KO shows Postol has some power but once Matthyse hits his groove in the mid-rounds he takes over and gets the finish.

Postol does look a good fighter though, I can see why some were picking him over Garcia.

I have picked Postol to win from the time they announced the fight. I voted Postol UD in the poll.

Now that I hear Matthysse might get a Manny fight if he wins, I am wondering if Postol is going to get screwed.

Of course Golden Boy wants to publicize it, it's Manny Pacquiao. That would be a big fight.

However, it took time for Matthysse to get another title shot after losing to Garcia.

I don't know how people are choosing Postol. Granted, you earn the ranked spot and shot for the WBC Title, but Postol's opposition is nothing like Matthyse's resume. I guess it's the equivalent of watching Algieri vs Ruslan and then thinking he was favored to win against Pac because everybody thought Algieri's boxing and jab was going to neutralize the setting.

Some people still have it in their mind that Matthysse is hype, he can be outboxed etc, while some others are just hoping that is the case.

Truth is nobody "out-boxed" Matthysse, Garcia won a close fight by slugging it out with him. Credit to Garcia, he took a lot of punishment that night that most fighters couldn't take and I don't think Postol is going to take it either.
