Realistically if we got any fights we wanted, boxing would still behind NFL, NBA, etc

Every sport has different styles. The difference is those sports enjoy all the styles.
Because in other sports, no matter how good your defense may be, you still have to outscore the other team to win. You still need OFFENSE or you will lose. If you have two baseball teams throwing a perfect game and the game is ended in the 15th inning by a walk off home run, it may be something to experience. But you would not want to experience it in each and every game. But fans will go back night after night to see a 10-9 game in baseball or hockey.

Plus there is the whole fact that if someone is too good at boxing it causes problems because it sucks the excitement out of a match. If you can't really enjoy the best performing then what is the point of watching~
Exactly. Other sports can sustain themselves when defensive teams are dominant. In boxing, if it's not Kobe vs Lebron it doesn't appeal to casuals.

Same with boxing. You can't win without scoring.

In football, great defense usually means big hits!! Lol so it's hard to compare that to a schooling in boxing by a defensive wizard cuz there's usually not many big hits. If u wanna stay with football, defensive wizards Floyd are like Cornerbacks who don't hit and are scared to tackle. They just want interceptions and scoring touchdowns. But being a corner who's scared to hit is not much respected.

Plenty of ppl hate him too and say he was scared to hit. He's like Floyd in a way.

Calling for running back to avoid contact his fair because he's the one getting hit, it's not the other way around. It's fair to ask for corners to get in here and make a tackle. A good tackle too, not now shoe string ****s.

Floyd is more like Tom Brady. Takes what the defense gives him. Short passes, smart, no mistakes and always wins which makes it a chore to watch. NBA would be Tim Duncan. They aren't risk takers but there very fundamentally sound, intelligent and always win.

The difference with boxing thouugh, is Tom Brady can sell out vs the Jaguars and Tim Duncan can sell out vs the Bobcats. Boxers need dance partners. Floyd is one thing but what about Lara? Or even Kovalev isn't pushing tickets right now.

Even explosive fighters need dance partners.
