To an extent yes, generally i like to see fighters from the uk do well, for a few reasons, first most being that it means more guys from my country will get into the sport so it's better for exposure to the sport in the uk.
But I don't blindly support british fighters. Amir Khan and Kell Brook right now are trying my last nerve, I can't stand Tony Bellew, and there are others i'm not a fan of.
Also many of my favorite boxers are from overseas, i like Kovalev, Golovkin, Crawford for example.
The main boxers i don't like has nothing to do with their nationality but their personality or style in the ring. See: Andre Ward.
Personality of chalk and boring in the ring

i think they're going by their skin color. There is more white or light skin Puerto Ricans compared to black or dark skin ones. So if I had to pick, I would pick black but that doesn't mean I'm claiming to be black. Lol just that I guess I fall into that group due to my skin color. The ppl picking white are light skin but I don't think they consider themselves to be white. White like European. I think we have a confusion between us as far as the goes.
Just wait till you guys become a State then maybe it'll be easier to define you guys. I don't know anything about Puerto Rican history but I assume classifying by color is just a dumb idea since most of countries around the Americas had brown skinned indigenous people then boats with Africans probably landed as well as European explorers visiting.
Color is meaningless.

It would of made it just as hard to define the people there, I know Filipinos whiter than Malignaggi and Filipinos as dark as Mayweather.

The REAL question to be asked on here that many people will FAIL if they are being honest is this:
Have you ever watched a fight and wanted one guy to lose or win, based on his race, color, or nationality? I can honestly say no I have not. How many people can be 100% honest and say the same thing. It is a fact that some people on here will only support fighters from their country, or their color, or their nationality, without exception.Last edited by richardt; 09-26-2015, 06:46 PM.

I'll start feeling bad for them if like 3 out of 4 Puerto Rican guys get knocked out
