They give certain options, but yeah you can choose "More than one race" or something like that, I forgot. But that is what most PR should be choosing, because they are mostly more than one race. But they choose White anyway, the majority. There is an option other than white or black for us, that is mixed/other/ or more than one race.
Are you nationalistic when it comes to boxing?

Do you think them checking white has any underlying influence from being a U.S. territory or am I just grabbing at straws? They give certain options, but yeah you can choose "More than one race" or something like that, I forgot. That's fair. So that would be like if there was a tournament and one group won lets say 5 fights in a row - you would be pulling for the other group (the underdogs) at that point to have something to help them feel better about the situation. Nothing wrong with that.Last edited by richardt; 09-26-2015, 07:03 PM.Comment

Yeah, we need more options but I'm assuming they filled it out going by their skin color but who knows. My island is a mess. There's more Dominicans in certain towns than actual Puerto Ricans. Smh Where u from though bro??They give certain options, but yeah you can choose "More than one race" or something like that, I forgot. I honestly have no idea, You'd have to sit down with a bunch of PRicans 1 by 1 and ask them for an honest answer on why they choose they are White (If that is what they chose). Maybe they are actually white (Large percent of Spaniard blood), maybe they do not want to be associated with Black or Taino. Who knows but them. Big Rigg admits he is mixed, so I guess he in the 8% of PR who says they are of mixed race.Comment

A good thread. Interesting discussions.
It depends, but I wouldn't describe myself nationalistic. Very far from it.Comment

Just about all the top fighters train in the US anyway, so I can cheer for whichever ones I want.Comment
