Roach is probably my least favorite person in the boxing world. He's vastly overrated. And his arrogance and mouth are beyond annoying.

That said, I do have a newfound respect for him in rhw aftermath of Floyd-Manny. I figured he'd be at the front of the peanut gallery crying robbery. But he man'd up, and publically disagreed with Manny about the result. He has played along with the shoulder excuse. But he has to make a living and tow the company line a lil bit. That said, I have a helluva lot more respect for him than I did a few months ago.

I'd say he's better at combo punching and not being 30+, but that's about it.

I watched Kirkland/Canelo last night and I am not comparing Cotto with Kirkland but just speaking from an observant stand point and I have to say Canelo is using his brain more, setting up his punches and keeping his composure. It's an intriguing fight and either to grab but I am leaning towards Canelo.

              hits harder
              better chin
              3-4" in reach
naturally larger. cotto was a 140 lber at canelo's age.

pretty basic, lol. you don't need to reinvent the wheel to find advantages for canelo.

I'm only going to give you the size advantage.. 3-4" inch advantange is negated by the fact that he doesn't know how to use it.. and as for the better chin? I think it's because of the difference in competition..

I just think vegas needs someone to protect and fill the PPV void and from now on guess who's getting the "gift" decisions?? yup.. it's Canelo "TBE" Alvarez... you'll see..

you mean, when cotto was getting knocked out at WW, or getting dropped and rocked at 140?

cotto has never had a great chin. it's not glass, but it is not great. it's vulnerable. miguel cotto can be hurt and made to back up / cower. i'm not sure how long you've been watching boxing, frankly.

canelo is a markedly larger man, has fought markedly larger men, and has taken what they've had to offer.
