Yeah ME hasn't figured out how to make Kovalev into a draw yet. Despite a good resume, he's not even outselling Provodnikov at the gate. ME screwed up by having his fights in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Those are no places to build up a star, but to take them once they are.

both sides are optimistically looking at this fight in '16 or possibly the first / second quarter of '17.
it will be on PPV, so don't complain abotu the fight not happening and then stream it when it does.
i'd post the links to a dan rafael article confirming the intentions of both sides with interviews, but scared europeans will try and discredit it in some way.
ward - kovalev will be at 175 lbs, on ppv, and at a 50-50 split. expect it in late 2016, or early 2017. don't complain about the fight not happening, adn then stream it. if you're too broke to spend $70 to watch the most important fight in boxing, you should be out working, and not on bscene.Comment

i don' think he should be in the hall of fame, but carl froch has the right kind of following in the BWAA that he will get in. lots of those guys have promotional ties / feuds, and froch ins't involved with any of that. he'll benefit from it.
they're also letting in historically garbage fighters, like arturo gatti, so it'l be no surprise when froch gets in.
if froch, the second best SMW of the era, gets in, you bet your ass ward will be getting in. ward is already a hall of famer by those standards.
i wouldn't vote for ward myself yet, based on my own standards, but whne you compare him to the arturo gatti's and barry mcquigans of the world, he's a hall of famer. with a bullet.Comment

Kovalev is likely gonna be ring champ at 175 after clearing the division. He would then have the same if not better resume than ward.

The fight is at kovalev weight where he will have full supremecy and make more gate money and likely have a ppv with stevenson as a headliner with hbo and showtime likely making another deal like floyd pac as co hosts.
Ward will be fighting on bet vs nobodies milking it. After being an undercard fighter.
Ward needed groves to win and it didnt happen. He is friends with everyone else. You have fonfara pascal and kovalev and ward wants none of that money.Comment
